The manga is badass. So many good moments. The Temple mission, The fight with the lightning boss, and the Osaka mission are my personal favourites. Its gone down hill a bit with the new arc, but it's also developing more story i guess as opposed to just a mission based format.

Perhaps for you, but I was only suggesting a gory anime with much more to offer than bodies blowing up. Not saying that Gantz is just that either, though.

Personally I liked Shigurui quite a bit. It was moody, dark, serious and bloody, and most important, a samurai story. What else could I want? I think the only flaw was that the animation was a bit slow.

On that regard, the manga was even better since it lacked overextended stills.
