@JDMblastoise22 People under estimate xr 400's. It may be a trail bike but i stay right with 450's. I have a 96 it was the first year and i noticed its much faster than newer ones. 96 also had the highest hp. I can easily stand it up in 5th gear

@TheUberPokes you probably do. If you build any xr right nothin can keep up to it. My dad built my xr250 when i was 13 and it had a spedo and everything it did 120. No joke. And my xr80 i had was a 94 he built that and id stay next to my friends crf 230. All you really need to do is port the stock exaust cuz thats where all the restriction is and put a bigger piston in and he did some stuff to the valves i dont know what though.

Two strokes have twice the powet but it has to hit its power band. A four stroke has consistant power and more torque for low end up hills and good for top speed.
