Since you're hair is rather light, try using the 12AA-BV in clairol pro at sally's with 40 vol. I haven't used it but have seen it used and it really turns hair white! You just have to watch it to make sure it doesn't over tone since it's a high lift blonde. but no pre lightening involved!

I am a hairdresser and oh my goshhhhhh. Do notttt put powder bleach directly on your scalp unless it specifically says on the scalp bleach. And you don't choose the volume of developer by how sensitive your scalp is. You choose developer by how much lift you need from the bleach and how fast you want it to process...So...If your hair is super dark you want the highest number developer. I'm just saying that if you want to do this without burning your scalp then please just see a pro...

Ladies...this is coming from a man who has professionally got and learned to bleach his own hair. When it comes to the bleach and developer spend money on the good shit. The saying, "You get what you pay for" really does apply in this situation. Also, try to find cream based bleach with natural oils listed in the ingredients. It saves you hair a hell of a lot of trouble. Other than that "your hair grows back and you only live once." Just like she said. :)

Oh man, I have to try using semi permanent dye. I have bleached my hair over and over, used toner (which I turned out to be allergic to), I used 'special effects' toner which did nothing even though every one said it was amazing. I've been using purple shampoo for months and my hair is still really really yellow. I've even started doing the old, put lemon juice in your hair and sit in the sun thing. I haven't seen anyone on youtube suggest it before.

yellow (aka yellow blonde) and purple are complements (color wise) .... they cancel each other out, or dull down the appearance of the other one. hahaha. the purple tones down the yellow so it appears white.
