  • This is again beautiful.. whats the music playing over the vid.

  • @zerokomma

    Many thanks.

The music is by English composer Ralph Vaughn Williams from his 5th Symphony.

  • Thanks bud, going to get the cd....again, beautiful vid.

  • Cheers,

Vaughn William's other compositions are also well worth listening to.

  • Oh cool, you got a Kestrel. I taped the American Kestrel in our back yard...not the greatest capture but was very surprised to find a Falcon in our backyard. I seen him hover the day before I taped him. My best footage is of the Redtail Hawk and Coppers Hawk.

  • Cheers,

I've just watched your footage. Nice close up and good detail too. You have another subscriber.

    Regards

    Andrew

  • Strange, reply was gone, now its back! YouTube!

Thanks, that close up was the Redtail, did you see the others? I think i only see that you saw one.

  • My tripod is only a stills camera type which is unsuitable for quick panning and tilt shots because it sticks and binds up. Now got a fluid-head film tripod on my wish list.

  • Great footage. Where I used to work there were a pair of Kestrel's who I could observe at least a couple of times a week but I've moved on since and I miss watching them :(

I remember observing a Kestrel once in very high winds and I could not get over how they could still manage to hover in the air with such ease.

Thank you for sharing your video.

  • very good : -).....it's closer than I expected from what you said.......must've be a nightmare trying to keep up with it as it changed direction, while you were zoomed in!!!
