By the way; Fokker is doing tests with a special bush-aircraft that can land on dirt-strips and grass fields. They also have found a fitting name for it: the Modderfokker! xD

An Airbus A380 needs a runway with a length from about 3000-3400 meter, in case of emergency i think 1500 meter.....

The length of St. Maarten is to short and has 1350 meters. Its also not realistic

this is not perfect.

First: There´s no thrust reverse on the engine you can see it at 1:31

Second: An A380 at least needs 2838 meters of runway, while the runway has only 2432 meters of lenght.

Third: Its very very very big to that place, and it has 4 rolls royce trent 900, wich means that the jet blast is so high, lets see, around 480 000 pounds force. A person on that beach could die with so much power YOU KNOW!!!!!!!!!

Using reverse thrust is a standard procedure(i guess), the real thing wouldnt stop on that runway without reversers. Its too late to use them when youre going at 100kts and the end of the runway is like 500ft away

KLM hasn't got an A380 and they probably won't get an A380 any time soon. That's because the A380 isn't cost efficient for KLM. They fly all over the world but the frequency of flights to most destinations is much to low to be serviced by the A380. Other airlnes can, do and will use the A380 because they fly passenger more in bulk.

yes lol this is simulation ..in real world you cannot risk to land at 1st meter of the runway. they usually land nearly the medium point of it (runway) . and they need some meters 2 stop too. btw i prefer boeing, bc airbus has a lil joystick.

None of those will perform as they should on a laptop. You need a pc with a Quad or Duo Quad Core processor, a high capacity graphics card and a RAM of 4 gig. Then FSX will run smoothly. It will work on either Vista or XP, you'll see ;)

@jerrythedutchmapler No! The A380 only needs 1300m of runway, believe it or not, because the approach speed can be reduced to 140 knots and normally the A380 only uses the 2 inside engines reverser. So when the A380 uses all engines reversers, it can stop much faster!
