We haven't used the Canon HG10 once ourselves yet and what we have seen already places it as a more reliable piece of equipment. The JVC GY-HD110U routinely gives us damaged footage that we later have to repair (if it can be.)These problems seem to be common to all cameras of its type made by JVC as I have seen them all first hand in others of the same camera and read complaints that would seem to support this.
On this shoot is was the JVC GY-HD110U. This camera actually reveals more problems each time we use it and we hope to be switching over to the CANON HG10 as soon as humanly possible.
To be honest, low light performance is not a factor in what we look for at all since our sets are either meticulously lit to give us the exact look we want or we are just using sunlight. So if the Canon HG10 performs poorly in low light, we will most likely never know. The physical size of a camera also plays no part in whether or not we would use it.
What movie is this? I'd really like to know. It looks awesome!

Really cool stuff, thanks for posting this. It's interesting all the behind the scenes footage. Can't wait to see what comes next.

The footage looks incredible. The difference between the main camera and the behind the scene's video camera is very educational.
What camera are you using?

Wow, that's a change. I'll look forward to seeing the quality of that small a camera vs. the bigger JVC. Especially the low light performance.

Oh yeah, we only used the overhead light. We were going to set up a fill light but then decided we didn't need it.
