I don't get why people "dislike" peoples videos either. It is wrong and we shouldn't even have a dislike button. It's like that saying "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all". If you don't care for a video, leave it alone and turn it off. I hate that thumbs down button.

I personally don't buy different editions of movies because I'm not made of money but I appreciate seeing all the cool special movie memorabilia. Also that kind of negativity doesn't phase me anymore even though narrow minded people can get on my nerves but THIS IS YOUTUBE like you said its fun, if you don't agree with someone just don't waste your time watching the video. Unfortunately some use it as an outlet for their anger issues.

The message I got from Andrews video is that a focus on movie review and discussion is shifting so far to simply collecting movies for the elaborate packaging and associated figurines etc. But the bottom line is,we are free to watch whatever we like.You are correct about the cowardice associated with the negative reviews.

I agreed with a lot of Andrew's points, but the thing that bothered me about his video is that he seemed to be telling people what kind of video they should be making. I say it's up to the person making the video what kind of videos they make. And I think there are plenty of people who discuss both the packaging and the film itself and do it well, guys like Krazy Jason, The Flick Pick, and, of course, you. There are plenty of review channels out there, if that's what he wants.

If the individual has done either a creative video, or they talk about the subject they're reviewing in great details and keep your attention throughout the video I give it a thumbs up. If the video is not keeping my interest & is just not doing a good job reviewing the item in question, I'm giving it a thumbs down. Not everyone likes everything on Youtube, it's just how it works. People have different opinions on stuff. But if people are doing TD for no reason, that's just rude.

I agree with what you had to say completely, I like movie reviews as well as the in-depth look at the packaging. They both have a purpose and I enjoy watching both kinds of videos. Somebody like CHRISBLU007 who devotes his channel almost entirely to packaging reviews is just as interesting and fun to me as someone who does reviews of the movie itself.

Everybody does things differently in their videos and I'm all for that. That's probably one of the biggest things I like about the Movie community on youtube. Sometimes I want to hear someone's thoughts about a movie and other times I just want to see what's included in a collector's edition. Variety of content is king.

You and Andrew have some good points. But I in all honesty only want to here about the films, and yeh maybe a little bit about the packaging but I hate certain things about unboxings and updates. My pet hate is when someone complains about no disc art, it. Is. A. Disc. You put in in the case and the player. In fact you know what I will do now. I am ganna g too my blu ray shelf and open my cases and look at the disc for a few minutes(sarcasm). Anyways great video and some good points you made. :)

I agree with absolutely everything you said. The thumb down feature is pointless... they should just remove it completely. There are too many negative people in the world who get off on trying to bring others down with them. I stopped making videos for many reasons, but mainly because the community seemed to go from being welcoming and friendly to everyone just bitching and trolling. Hey Mick, you're awesome, I would watch a video if you wanted to make reviews, we all start out shaky with reviews, I'm still not happy with mine. The point is this community is awesome! It's diversity is a positive thing, and obviously the steelbooks and stuff like that has a big enough interest if so many people make videos about it and it all stems from the love of those movies in the first place.

I agree I really like the artwork for it. I haven't seen an unboxing for it before too, there is probably one out there I just haven't seen it, but I have seen that steelbook on ebay before and I never knew there was another cover underneath :p so definitely glad you showed that one.
