luke came to omak wa. back in the day when he was in high school. he ripped up omak with a broken right hand. this white boy can ball with the best of them. and all yall talkin shit about luke haha, yall didnt make it to the nba so whut the fuck up fools.
Think that was a fluke game. He's only scored over 25 points on four separate occasions, never averaged over 12 points for a season, last season was his highest with 11.8. He's nobody's future, especially not the Sonics.......too soon?
I hate it when these "savior, next big thing, the future" videos don't work out.
@NoRegretsForOurYouth The dude has the capability of scoring 20+ on any given night, but chooses to play safe and distribute to his teammates plus he's never been a primary scoring option (look at teams he's been on). Turnover to assist ratio is good for his career: 1.74 turnovers to 4.9 assists. And the video wasn't saying he's a "savior" or anything. Many spectators like to compare a person's play style to other players. The video shows that he can play.
@SmoothMM Yep coming into the league Luke averaged at least 10 & 5 except one year he averaged like 11 & 3.8 but that is good for a young point guard, dont know what he did when he left Seattle. He's fundamentally sound can score and he could play for most coaches I guarantee.
@mookeychase0907 Yeah, he could start on most teams (if not all). He's played well for the Bucks and is currently doing a good job in Minnesota., but look out for Ricky Rubio to possibly take over: dude's the real deal.
@SmoothMM Yeah you're right they want to keep Luke there to groom RR they'll split the minutes for now but next year, year after that it's def RR's job...
I donn about Rindourt. He was thick back then with Luke Jackson. No he is a old school John Stockton typo of white pg. Not new school. He canpass has IQ, but hes a back up. Not more.
yah, too many scoring point guards. you really have to watch a game to see how much a pure point guard can help you. rafer alston is a pure point guard, and when hes put in the game the offense just seems to run more smoothly for the rockets.
This video is missing his best dribbling sequence ever against the Spurs. He received a long pass, caught it, and dribbled though Duncan, Ginobli, and Horry with a ridiculous sequence of dribbles while avoiding their swipes at the ball. Please tell me someone has that footage.
a floater is not a lucky shot, one of the most technically difficult shots in basketball and requires alot of skill. He has a pretty good floater, not saying he makes all but it ain't luck...
naw, im pretty stoked to see him on the bucks too. just hoping he plays like this though. he'll be able to set up redd for a lot of shots, kinda like how he did with ray in seattle.
Im stoked as well. It's exactly like he did with Ray as Redd and Ray have almost the same game and Jefferson is like Rashard Lewis since he drives the lane and can shoot the open 3's.
Watson is good, but just not as consistant as Ridnour..
PG: Ridnour
SG: Durant
SF: Green
PF: Wilcox/Collison
C: Petro
..Small chance at playoffs with this lineup, get some good backups.. And you got a team!
If the staff does something stupid AGAIN and trades away Ridnour.. Idk if i'd be able to call myself a fan after that. Clay bennett is PURPOSELY TRYING TO KILL THE SONICS ORGANIZATION so he can move the team to Oklahoma.. Damn shame.. SOS..
Nice video man...Yeah really wish Ridnour got more playing time...Sonics offense just flow better...Watson is annoying...Anyway, a better comparison instead of Steve Nash would be Mark Price...
I heard that the Raptors might acquire Ridnour. That would be good for the Toronto Raptors considering that TJ Ford is injured regularly but I would rather have a healthy TJ.
oh yeah the future of the sonics haha thats why he plays now. he gets like 5 min a game earl watsons play a lot more then he does. and plus last year he was only good the first half of the season then the second half he didnt do so well...future? i dont think so.
No that would be idiotic! First off Adrian Griffins worth is not half of Luke's, and secondly the Bulls have an even better PG in Kirk... so nor would that never happen but it would be horrible for Luke if it did.
You guys ever thought about how good that Oregon team was??? Luke, fred, and..... crap I forgot the others game name and thats funny seeing as how he was the star in college.
in a few years he is gonna be the greatest basketball of all time. Way better then that nigger jordan that everyone likes. its the return of white athelete domination people.
He's gonna be the greatest basketball? Hahahaha... I think you mean basketball player, let's hope that's what you meant at least, and dude, I don't think so, or rather I know he won't.
definitely lucky, he plays with a brain but not with the skills of a leet point [guess thats why he isnt one] plus his lucky little layups dont compare with the poise that other superstars can finish with. good role player tho
those "lucky" little layups are called floaters and are hugely effective... and lots of superstars use just that shot... Kobe, Vince, Nash, Parker, Francis and B.Diddy to name a few...
2:04coughcough. and i am fully aware that they are called floaters thank you although everyone you named finish with more poise and form [not to mention style] than ridnour. sadly the guy doesnt have enough court vision because he definitely can pass, ive watched some of his other videos
That one is badass dude... I love it... and yes he don't have their poise yet... but he's a young guy, been in the league for 3 years so he needs time, but he could very well be a star in the future.
with ray allen finally off this team and out of luke's head, along with that moron bob hill finally gone, i expect luke to return to greatness once again in 07/08
steve nash wasnt exactly the best point guard when he came in the league people, luke needs a team to pass too first, and some more experience. but he will be up there with magic johnson, steve nash, and john stockton eventually. wait and see.

a floater is not a lucky shot, one of the most technically difficult shots in basketball and requires alot of skill. He has a pretty good floater, not saying he makes all but it ain't luck...
MiniShaQ 3 years ago 2
A lot of the time it seemed like he just tossed the ball up tp the rim without even fully extending his arm. That's not a technically sound shot.
bonafide28 3 years ago
True, but that's what a floater is, not technically sound, but takes alot of skills... Tony Parker also used to use that alot.
MiniShaQ 3 years ago
yeah, if you've ever seen the guy play, he uses that shot a lot. it's pretty sick when it goes in too
