all kinds of lures ... super spook, rattle trap, swimbaits etc ... usually trilene 15# BIG GAME mono ... probably going to downsize this year to maybe 12-14#
man im jealous im in east tennessee and our striper fishing consists of small hybrids on the lake and then large stripers below the dam where they release the water but ive seen 40-50 pound stripers caught there on 12 inch live shad
we have american shad here on the west coast this time of the year in the rivers ... they are probably similar to what your referring too ... awesome bait, but once abundant in the river, catchin a striper on one is like hittin the lotto ... lol
wow some of those where huge! i watch all your vids as soon as they come out. i always try to find the spots you guys hit up on the banks because i dont got a boat... but i never have any luck.. i got gas fades if your willing to take me out.
