Automatic zetec contours are slow. Stock for stock, the SVT Contour is quicker than a GSR. But a Stock integra type R is fast than a stock SVT Contour. I drive a stock SVT Contour, and a modified SVT Lighting.

The contour there is 100% Ford. The 2.5l v6 you are thinking of being made by Mazda is found in the mx-6's and Ford Probes. They are different motors. the 2.5l SVT v6 comes in SVT Contours and the St220 Mondeo found in the UK. the non SVT 2.5 comes in Cougars, Mystiques and Contours. An Integra/RSX is the only Honda I would own but its still a Honda.

SVT Contours run about 15.2-15.0 flat in stock trim and that one seemed modded. The GSR held up pretty well but there's no replacement for displacement. GSR with mods is really hard to compete with too.

yea but its a pos and about half the size. if you want a real car for that money buy a nissan maxima with the VQ35...a motor thats been on wards 10 best for 10 years and is in the new skyline. buy the car for $15k and put a turbo kit on it for about 5 and you have a car that will blow the doors of most anything. and trust me when i say minis suck. i work for a dealer that sells mini i constantly see them come in with problems

they do have problems but my dealership is good. The engine dropped a cylinder because of a faulty ring. They replaced the enigne for free at 69,000 miles. It was out of warranty.

It is a superior car to the honda civic of the same category due to it coming with a 2.3L 155hp I4 but the aftermarket is almost non-existent. That is part of the reason that its resale value cannot match that of similar year hondas toyotas.

im sorry but there is nothing superior to the civic. Show me a suzuki aerio that has 200k on it and hasnt had a major problem. Everyone knows that honda's are reliable and much more so that a aerio. I Had an accord that i put 269k on. I now have an element 75k and no problems. my dad has a 06 civic its a great car. Oh and the SVT contour...i love them. my cousin had one and i wish he still had it. and when was the last time a suzuki won motor trends car of the year

I believe we are talking about perofrmance, not reliability. There are plenty of cars superior to a civic. The Aerio has not been around long enough to have a test of reliability. Plus if your going on that, try to beat the old air-cooled vw engines.

ok performance...hmm civic si 197hp 0-60 in 7.1. oh and i work with someone who has a 96 civic that runs a 13.1 ALL MOTOR!!!! Oh and have you forgotten about the K series motor. Mine make s 160hp and 161lb ft of torque. A tsx makes 200hp. and i believe that any honda motor will compete with the old vw motors.

hey idiot, i had a yellow type r integra and now i have a CSVT. shut ur hole ive had both. as a matter of fact the CSVT and SHO are the only fords i like. also there is only about 15,000 CSVTs and a billion hondas. my type R was super wonderful, but most hondas are GAY!!!! go SVT!!!

daily driver. im not modding it or anything keeping it ALL STOCK. while working on the Z. honestly it is incredible the similarities in performance between the ITR & the CSVT. handling especially. type R was faster to 60 but after that is where the CSVT shines. i ran 15.30 in the itr and am running 15.33 in the csvt. no lie

So you're telling me that they don't make more aftermarket part for the integra? The reason the demand is higher is because it is more common to modify the integra than the contour. People choose to purchase the integra in many cases because of this.

SVT Contours run about 15.2-15.0 flat in stock trim and that one seemed modded. The GSR held up pretty well but there's no replacement for displacement. GSR with mods is really hard to compete with too.
