Figured he was too good to last on local TV with that great voice, movie star looks. WESH is NBC affil. Surprised they didn't grab him instead of the "Fox hole." Hope he's paid well.

Shep is pretty good, but he's easily duped by some of his guests and not always consistent. But I have seen him at times spot on and man can he get mad (while getting on point). He'll be a powerful contender for O'Reilly's spot if keeps his views balanced and logical and doesn't play for points.
I'm the first to admit I like Shep. Shep and Glenn (but somehow I don't think the two would get along). But Shep does miss one point in the interview. The dueling parties never agree on a definition of torture and so while we might agree with Shep's carte blanche position of "no torture in America", we have to determine what IS torture. Decapitating or severing limbs, no way; water boarding, isolation, sleep deprivation, have at it! Sounds like part of my daily routine, though not in that order.

Absolutely, talk radio is, and thank God for that! The mainstream media is mostly liberal, owned by extemely POWERFUL liberal interests. I would not necessarily say that am radio is mainstream. John D Rockefeller thanked the/his media for concealing the truth and allowing the controlling forces to accomplish their agenda. I used to view myself as a Liberal/Progressive but, once I began to realize the truth, I have distanced myself from that cause.

I am really beginning to respect Shep Smith but his network bears great responsibility for what DiPalo said. You don't sound very intelligent trying to hold Fox as a high-water mark next to other networks.
For instance, most Fox reports initially said ACORN received $8 billion from the Feds. In reality, they received $54 million over 15 years. That's why I asked about ACORN, Fox's accuracy & objectivity has been horrendous on that story. Now they have the Jennings rape story, Fox got that %100 wrong & their hosts are still standing by it.
BTW, "Obozo" makes your point about bias really resonate.

Fox's accuracy & objectivity are stellar when compared with NBC/ABC/CBS. They NEVER report any news that is unfavorable to BO/minions. I'm tired of ALL the partisan news, to be honest. The concept is fake, because it was used to get false confessions against American soldiers during the Korean War. Read the reports on FBI analysis of what we got from torture.
Obama was referring to moral shortcuts, not a quick way to save Americans.
Bottom line on torture: as a veteran, I know that everything that we say is ok to do to our enemies is something that will be used on American soldiers later. If you support torture, you oppose our soldiers.

I'm the first to admit I like Shep. Shep and Glenn (but somehow I don't think the two would get along). But Shep does miss one point in the interview. The dueling parties never agree on a definition of torture and so while we might agree with Shep's carte blanche position of "no torture in America", we have to determine what IS torture. Decapitating or severing limbs, no way; water boarding, isolation, sleep deprivation, have at it! Sounds like part of my daily routine, though not in that order.

Even Democrats agree that the media was biased toward Obama so for Smith to say that is not true is not only misinformed but it is ignorant. The only reason Smith took up for the media is that he thought the guy was accusing Fox.

Ohhhh, Lord Jesus help me. I am tired of Conservatives blaming why Ron Paul didn't get elected on Obama. It was the Republicans that chose John McCain over Dr. Paul. If it was Paul vs. Obama, I might have actually voted Republican but instead I voted for Obama because there is no way I am voting for a Neo-Con. Give me a Break! It's not about republican or democrat, It's about being informed enough to make the right decision. I was a registered democrat. then i heard what Ron Paul had to say and then I switched. People need to be involved early on in the elections.

Ignoring how dumb the ending to your comment was (try looking up definitions of words before using them), there are a lot of good reasons why someone wouldn't vote for Paul. I personally disagreed with his tax and trade policies. Declaring that the reason people didn't vote for your man is because 'they are just too dumb' is an insulting cop out.
