  • corput fucker!

  • The bas tard was corrupt and was obviously living beyond his means. Allowed the IRA to skip over the border. Gave the catholic church free reign to physically and mentally abuse children. What a total s ht!

  • The Fighting Irish miss conflict now the Good Friday Agreement ended 350 years of War. Gramsci Marxist Multi-Culturalism will bring Multi-Northern Ireland's to the Republic. Are they the most naive/stupid in the world? Ask a Biafran - they were given free citizenship, free housing, free food for life after merely getting pregnant. That's a lot of "pennys for the black babies"! What will Sticky Sinn Fein do? Nothing, they are Marxist "Useful Idiots" & facilitators of re-invasion.

Short memories we have, the scum will be out in force in the next election canvassing and there msg will be its all fine gael/labours fault .A vote for fianna fail is a vote for scum!!!!

  • @spikiey001 Do you ever get the impression that FF aren't really particularly sorry? 'Oh'll they'll come back to us, they're a bunch of suckers'. They were always like that. This is the third time FF have collpased the Irish economy.

  • @spikiey001 They were always like that.

  • And they gave this thundering CUNT a state funeral, typical in Ireland...

  • @seanbl1 Should have been hung in a gibet in central Dublin for the amusement of the nation. Only in death did Haughey give the people what they wanted.

  • @TheChapaqua: You said it man!!

  • Fianna Fail: "Lying beyond their means".

  • Funnily enough I've just watched 'Michael Collins'. Laugh? I did actually.

  • 'Yes this is the point where you trot out the hoary old canard about 'we don't really hate the English, just their Government'.. Please spare me. I've read Irish newspapers daily for years. I listen to RTE Radio every day. Please don't take me for a fool love, because I'm not.

  • @TheChapaqua Who is this, 'we.' You are making an assumption and it's a false one.

  • @TheChapaqua Well, you're damn fine actor then.

  • I don't hate the Greeks, but given how each E.U country has its own problems, it's rather presumptious of Greece and Ireland to presume that no-one has problems of their own. Patience is wearing thin one suspects with Greece and Ireland. As reguarding re-negotiation I don't think both countries are pushing at an open door.

  • @TheChapaqua You've openly admitted to hating the Irish therefore anything you write on this topic must be read with that in mind. You have an agenda, your haltered of the Irish. You are not really interested in the European economic situation and the fact that your country is also in an economic crisis.

  • @TheChapaqua The Greeks are seeking grace on their repayments. They will twist and turn and in the end more will be paid in than out.

  • Flawed genius, a rough diamond etc. etc. He had the right idea, to bad about all the corruption. And even with the corruption some say he was one of the best Toaisigh.

  • @darragh1216 Nah, with C.J? It was only ever all about him.

  • China has its own economic problems. That population will bring severe difficulties later down the line. Same for India. Each of the above has its own severe economic problems.

  • @TheChapaqua But China will be the worlds leading economy and India won't be far behind.

  • @TheChapaqua Do you also hate the Greeks?

  • No you are not listening. No one is denying anything. The UK is best placed, given the position that other E.U countries are in, given the Pan-European recession, to come out of recession. If Gerrmany could come out of the Eurozone, it wouldn't have to prop up Ireland and Greece. (Germans are now somewhat annoyed at having to sustain two foreign countries.) If Germany could come out of the Euro and the ECB It would do so. We don't have such burdens. Ireland joined the Euro out of spite.

  • @TheChapaqua People can't listen to something that is written. It's read. I also disagree that Ireland joined the Euro out of spite. Isn't all this beside the point? Isn't the real issue with your postings one of hatred? You hate the Irish! You have written it already in your reply to Eireaontaighe. So the real question is why do you hate the Irish on such a personal level? Were you beaten up on a holiday to Dublin for wearing a Union Jack shirt?

  • @brasilcork If I'm having a text based conversation with you, I am listening. It's just metaphorical. Words are after all all we have aren't they? I don't waste mine.

  • @TheChapaqua Wrong again, it's a correspondence not a conversation.

  • @brasilcork Do you not use words in a correspondence?

  • @TheChapaqua One is written, the other is spoken. You do, of course, know this.

  • @brasilcork Compared to yours? We couldn't compete. What would Dev say?

  • @TheChapaqua Not much. He's dead.

  • @brasilcork Really? Could have fooled me,

  • @TheChapaqua Indeed.

  • @brasilcork Funnily enough I've watche the 2-part RTE documentary on Haughey. What can I say? I think P.J Mara should have been running FF.

  • @TheChapaqua Fianna Fáil are set for a decade out of power. Mara pulled a lot of strings, a leader in all but name directing the bandwagon to ruin.

  • @brasilcork Yes, funny guy though.

  • WHATS FUCKING NEW CHARLIE? YOUR LEGACY LIVES ON ME OLE BUD.

  • what community did he mean, the european community? must be cos it seems they are doing a lot of lending to a certain community, lol. or was it he community in his island, either way peg sayers didn't get as much for her book and she was more convincing with her stories;-)

  • FF scum.

  • This is true. We however didn't make a habit of going economically bust on a repeated basis. Remember when Dev busted the Irish economy in the thirties? Remember when Lynch and O'Donohoe decided to scrap car tax in the sventies? And didn't bother to replace it with anything? It was a one-off in the UK's case. Even despite the economic mismanagement of thirteen years of Labour, it had known that the economic vandalism of the seventies had to be avoided. It wasn;t repeated.

  • Took the Bait hook, line, and sinker! Just a Joke! No need to get the SAS out (God rest 'em) Hahahahahahahaha. Ah lord! Actually I'm a big fan of history books, although I only read one of those on your list. Currently getting through the Annals of the Four Masters, 'Tis tough! Are You from Ireland? (Fourth time)

No Boyo, I'm England's problem, and some day, they'll have to settle that score, if it comes to violence aris.

So Economics debate- Sea nó Níl? Yes or No?

  • @EireAontaighe Haven' t you died yet? You know? Like the Irish econmy?

  • @TheChapaqua Both of us still alive and kicking...

  • @EireAontaighe No. One economically and financially dead. One clinically brain dead. Funny that you should use the verb 'kicking', since I'm really suddenly developing the urge..

  • @EireAontaighe No. One economically and financially dead. One clinically brain dead. Funny that you should use the verb 'kicking', since I'm really suddenly developing the urge..

  • Couldn't help your little remark about Hitler. Thank God you're not my problem. You may be Ireland's problem, you may indeed even be your parents problem, thank God though you ain't mine. Rot in Hell Ireland.

  • Oh, you're getting testy now m'boyo! Oh yes Churchill got just as pissed off as you when Dev signed the book of condolences for Hitler (God rest him). Glad to see you can Google "books on Fianna Fáil" nice one. So you don't want the figures then? What a pity, I was looking forward to lambasting you with top class economics. Ah well. Maide agus liag....

Literacy? In the previous sentence you wrote "horrifyiong". unlike you I don't hate anybody for their race, but I hate you, for your stupidity.

  • @EireAontaighe Again I'd go back and re-read your own postings. If of course you can read. You sure can't think. Then again you are Irish so nothing can be expected. Wellington was right. I take it you haven't read the books, well I take it that i've read more books than you then. (Oh and it's Amazon, they sell books.) You've tried lambasting me for five days, now you tell me that you're going to lambast me. Off you go. Back to the bog.

  • @EireAontaighe Ignore him. There isn't much point arguing with the guy. He's hate filled, not logical. He hates the Irish. Anything he write is therefore biased.

  • How is it that a nation of only over 4 million even begin to think it can pay back everything in five years? Something tells me FF haven't been entirely Kosher. Fair enough, it is after all the story of FF.

  • @TheChapaqua If you would look at the facts instead of continuing the anti-Irish rhetoric you would see Ireland is an enormously profitable country, Nothing to do with population because Foreigners love that Capital gains rate. I mean if you would like me to go into detail, I have in my possession the figures for how it is to be done. Not neutral? In WW2 Churchill offered the 6 counties for us to declare war, and we still did not. Won the War? Haha you're insane. The story of FF? Do tell

  • @EireAontaighe The story of FF? That's been told better by others. Try 'The Boss' by Gene Kerrigan, or 'The Power Game' by Stephen Collins, or 'Showtime' by Pat Leehy. Or and my personal favourite, and yours too, 'Haughey' by Bruce Arnold (Written in 1994, Arnold could see it coming miles away.)

Emphasis on the past tense applies when talking of Ireland being profitable. FF spent years coasting as if the good times would never end.

  • @EireAontaighe You only correspond with me since I educate you. As for rhetoric? I'd look in the mirror and check out your previous postings. As for neutrality? Sorry kid, Declassified Irish documents from WW2 show that to be a myth. Dev sold you a pup. If you'd accepted the six-counties in WW2, Ireland's economic plight today would be horrifyiong than what it is now. Which is horrifying What a wonderful example you are as to the dangers of literacy.

  • @EireAontaighe God I hate the Irish. Wanking themselves daily on the pretext that the world is Irish. You're so stupid you actually thought I was being serious when I made the joke about the 'Turin Shroud'. Evidently a member of FF. Or is that Sinners? Nice to see the Irish engaged in self-sabotage. It's like a form of self-mutilation, except in Ireland's case, the patient actually quite enjoys the experience. Though not half as much as I do.

  • @TheChapaqua I was wondering what your true gripe was and here you make it explicit. You hate the Irish. No point arguing about the european economy with you then because you have a personal axe to grind. I have no vested interest here but why do you hate them?

  • @brasilcork I don't like or dislike the Irish. I am though as indifferent as ambivalent about them. I don't pay tribute.

  • @TheChapaqua Well you've written in your reply to EireAontaighe that you hate the Irish. It's there for all to read. The point is that this hatred will colour your opinion on the economic situation so it's impossible to get an objective response from you. You hate the Irish.

  • @brasilcork Please don't play the innocent with me love. You hate the English.

  • @TheChapaqua No, you are wrong. I don't hate the English. You hate the Irish and have stated that here for all to see.

  • @TheChapaqua I was wondering what your true gripe was and here you make it explicit. You hate the Irish. No point arguing about the european economy with you then because you have a personal axe to grind. I have no vested interest here but why do you hate them?

  • @TheChapaqua No, you are wrong. I don't hate the English. You hate the Irish and have stated that here for all to see.

  • @EireAontaighe As for insanity? I leave that to the Irish. After all, I didn't ask you to inbreed with each others cousins.

  • As for 'looking at the figures'? Well no wonder you got yourselves into the mess with the E.U and the IMF. No wonder you're doomed. I'm not worried either. Ireland's misfortune and economic death only amuses me. Then again you've achieved more damage and vandalism in Ireland than the Black and Tans ever could. For sure they'd be very proud. They couldn't done a grander job of it themselves. Don't forget to vote SF now! They will administer the final rites. Ireland is dead.

  • @TheChapaqua Britain was bailed out by the IMF in 1976 long before Greece or Ireland. The economic woes of Britain at present are such that another bailout may be in the offing. Portugal, Spain, Italy and France are also in dire economic trouble.

  • @brasilcork As for an economic bail out? No necessity.at all. A population of over 60 million. An increase of 2.5% VAT. And a competitive economy and currency not burdened by membership of the Euro, the Eurozone and the ECB. So no, there is no comparison between Greece, Ireland, Portugal, and the UK. Let's be frank, Ireland only went into the Euro because the U.K didn't.

  • @TheChapaqua What about the bailout in 1976?

  • @brasilcork As for renegotiation of terms? I think given the economic problems Ireland has caused in the Eurozone, I think you'll be pushing your luck. Germany may consent, but in return it will demand the Irish constitution be rewritten to endure that such a collapse never happens again. You may get re-negotiation, but there will be a quid pro quo involved. Oh, this also providing Ireland doesn't default. The IMF doesn't accept a single default. Economically risky.

  • @TheChapaqua Both Greece and Ireland want to renegioate the interest rate that they will be required to repay. Both countries will take years to recover. The only strong economy in Europe at present is the German economy. London saw student riots riots recently and the Brisish economy shrunk in the last quarter. Britian, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Portugal, France and Italy are in a dire economic position. Germany has taken the ascendency and is calling the shots.

  • @brasilcork I never said that Germany wasn't the strongest European economy. Germany's economic problems would be unburdened if it wasn't a member of the Euro, and wasn't burdened with the Greek and Irish economies on its shoulders. In recession or prosperity Germany's economy would proably be one of if not the most impressive. That said, Merkel could pay a heavy political price for bailing out Ireland and Greece. Not popular. As for the London riots? A seperate issue. (Con't.)

  • @brasilcork The student riots were unconnected with issues of the econmy. The Lib Dems, believing, as usual they could say what they wanted on the Hustings in the General Election, suddenly realised that, once in Government, that such a freedom couldn't be afforded. In short, a minority party discovered the hard way you can't say anything in opposition and then hope to get elected. They genuinely didn't believe they were going to hold the balance of power. They won't do that again.

  • @TheChapaqua The students rioted because student fees were increased, tripled in some cases. The fees were increased because the economy is in a sad state. Cutbacks are widespread and harsh. Taxes have been raised by the government in Britain despite pre-election promises and the Prime minister defended these hikes by saying he did it to avoid following greece and Ireland into an economic black hole. Britain is in trouble.

  • @brasilcork Do you really think Ireland is going to get a renegotiation with the EU? The attitude of the E.U at the moment is that Ireland should be bloody grateful for whatever help it's received, let alone from them. Especially given the econmic problems they've caused. If renegotiation occured, then the Greeks would demand a renegotiation for their own E.U bail out package. That, is not going to happen.

  • @TheChapaqua It's already started. Enda Kenny has already met with Angela Merkel. The Greeks have also demanded a renegotiation of their bailout. The money being used to bail out Irish Banks is Irish taxpayers money not European money. The reason the ECB is funding Ireland is to save their own skins and the poor investments they authorized. They don't want German bond holders who invested (foolishly) in Irish banks to suffer.

  • @brasilcork Nothing was discussed at the meeting. No one has been elected Taoseach yet. It would be silly for Enda Kenny to ask for re-negotiation when no-one has won the election yet. Go back and read Merkel's response afterwards. Diplomatic to say the least. Rehn says no, Trichet says no. Ireland will find little support for such an idea.

  • @TheChapaqua Time will tell if the bailout rate will be renegotiated. Those vying for election are making promises to try.

  • @brasilcork As for the Greeks they too will be told no. I just don't think the E.U has the tolerance to deal with Greece and ireland, given how each EU country has its own economic difficulties. TheE U. does not revolve entirely around Greece and Ireland. Given the problems both have caused, not much sympathy either.

  • @TheChapaqua You're wrong. The EU does have the tolerance to deal with Greece and Ireland. The Euro zone economy has grown by 1.7% in 2010. In time both countries will be out of the economic hole they are now in just as Britain got out of their economic hole in the 70's. Britain will also overcome the present crisis it's experiencing.

  • @TheChapaqua The IMF money will be used to run the country not bail out the Banks because the banks debt has already been guaranteed by the government.

  • @brasilcork Do you really think Ireland is going to get a renegotiation with the EU? • @TheChapaqua No you didn't read my e-mail. One has nothing to do with the other. The Lib Dems made promises and pledges that were on the basis of not being in Government. Guess what,? They ended up in government and were harshly reminded of promises and pledges made on the hustings. Again, your e-mail is foundered on the idea of economic misplacement. ('If we're having a bad time, why can't the Brits have a bad time with us....' ) Aagain, your analysis is shallow.

  • @TheChapaqua You've made this reply to yourself. Who was it meant for?
