  • Has anyone noticed that the top muppet preformers were all in tis song? Jim played Link, Richard played Scooter, Frank played Fozzie, Dave played Gonzo and Jerry played Robin.

  • Season 2, Episode 20 Petula Clark

When someone lists a Muppet Show episode as a 3 digit number, you read it as Season #, Episode ##.

  • Well, technically it's a "seasong" not a sea "chantey", but that doesn't make me love it any less. It's kinda "Gilbert & Sullivan like".

  • Men OVERBOARD!

  • For I'd never give up the sea unless you'd offer me a job on land! XD

  • where the heck did they get this silly little song? and poor fozzy, doing all the work lol

  • Which people would YOU imagine doing this song and SEE GO overboard at the end of THIS song?

  • There IS a DIFFERENCE between SESAME STREET and THE MUPPET SHOW SESAME STREET a show for preschoolers, letters, numbers, social skills, etc. getting ready for school MUPPET SHOW a show for adults. Funny jokes and skits that adults could relate to.

  • True: when I watched the Muppetshow with my parents when I was little, I enjoyed it a lot, but my parents laughed at a lot of stuff I did not get back then. Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock, were more for children, but I have to admit I still enjoy those shows too as an adult. Jim Henson once said when he created Sesame Street, it had to be enjoyable for parents to watch it with their kids and that is why most Sesame Street skits are so funny.

  • lol....poop the deck...lol

  • @TheJodilena Pepper the mints.

    Scuttle the butt.

  • I love this one. I loved it when i was young.

  • This song is Hilarious, do you know what the lyrics are?

  • That was Sesame Street why do you think it has on for 40 years

  • Here!

  • Must be lovely for children :)

  • The Muppet Show was a variety show geared toward adults. Much of the show would be over kids' heads, though it would still be fun to watch.

  • @MariAnKenobi ... where most of the offscreen talent was British.

Thank Lew Grade for giving Jim Henson the opportunity and the freedom..

  • the puppetiers are in real harmony in this sketch.

  • That Link, Scooter, Gonzo, and Robin isn't it?

  • Yep!

  • He said "poop the deck."

  • And then it was "Main the sail," then "PEPPER THE MINTS."

It just gets weirder and weirder.

  • you need to edit your video, one NEVER and i repeat NEVER cuts away Stadlers and Waldorfs coments.

They are the best of them all :p

  • troofness.

  • @Erikjust Muppet Show S2 E20 P1 - Petula Clark

    DrJuliusStrangepork has the whole bit.

  • Everytime they sing a song about the sea, they always ended up drowning.

  • I've heard this song on Muppet Radio, but I've never seen it before. I love it, and of course they'd all fall overboard!

  • It seems every musical number on a body of water ends with the singers going overboard. LOL! Nice of Waldorf to throw them a life saver.
