I enjoyed too much this game in my old game gear... I am glad to know his origins now thanks to u. Msx2 always amazing me!! this game is full of original touches in his concept... it is truly not "another platform game" to the pile. I Love this game.
Because the last battle involved flying up and down a screen with you just pushing left and right to bounce from one side to the other, you were never sure if you were hitting the boss or if the boss was hitting you.
In the end you either won or lost but there was no skill behind that battle
and IMO it was cool as hell. I really loved the ending of this game. Pretty good for such a challenging and entertaining game, one of the best on the MSX IMO.
I played this on the Master System, I think it was Psychic World, though. Similar / same game, just title / stage differences.

Horizontal scrolling, FM synth music. They put A LOT of work into this one.

i beat the Master system version, which was awesome, but little did i know, this EPIC msx2 version existed.

nice game, good gameplay even in 2010. Maybe a little too easy using the invincibility to refll hp ;)

It was intentional. To my knowledge you can't possibly lose that battle. It's more like a cinematical event rather than a real fight.
The real "last boss" is the brain thingy you fight just before that.
The same happens in Final Fantasy X, where Braska's Aeon is the real last boss, and in the next battle you are invincible.
