I am not Greek and i can tell you that they might be currently facing economic issues due to the global recession which has also hit badly most of Europe as well, but Greece was and will be the country with the most significant history and culture and the place the gave birth to Democracy and Western civilization. Think of Sophocles, Herodotus, Homer, Socrates, Aristotle, Pythagoras, the fathers of western civilization are the main ground in many of today's sciences still.

I am not Greek and i can tell you that they might be currently facing economic issues due to the global recession which has also hit badly most of Europe as well, but Greece was and will be the country with the most significant history and culture and the place the gave birth to Democracy and Western civilization. Think of Sophocles, Herodotus, Homer, Socrates, Aristotle, Pythagoras, the fathers of western civilization are the main ground in many of today's sciences still.

RUDE DENIAL. Denial of everything Macedonian, that is in the same time NON-Greek. Why? The main reason they suddenly remembered (only about 80years ago) that Ancient Macedonia was Greek was as a main excuse for prolonging the occupation of Aegean Macedonia (territory of important economic significance for Greece), which is about 51% of the original Republic of Macedonias territory.

Ur country is less than 500 km in width...when the diameter of VY Canis Majoris is 3.100.000.000 km!!! After occupying Aegean Macedonia in 1913 which had a VAST MAJORITY of non-Greek Macedonians, Greek government underwent to drastical methods of assimilation of all non-Greeks, like forbidding Macedonian language, songs, schools ect. One of the commonly known measures against speaking Macedonian was rubbing a leaf of hives on the tongues of all caught speaking their native Macedonian language.

@dinoomk - It is historically proven that the Yugoslavian Democracy of Macedonia was created by Stalin, Tito and Dimitrov, aiming at the stealthy removal of a large part of Northern Greece. This Democracy was used during the period 1944-1949 in order to destabilise Greece.
