Why is everybody talking about Vader when it's clearly the Emperor Palpatine that is the greatest villain in Cinema history. The Emperor is so interesting especially in Star Wars episode's IV-VI. The scene in "Return of the Jedi" where the Emperor walks off his ship and Vader and everyone else is kneeling to him, and he has that robe hiding his hideous mysterious face.

Darth Vader DID wind up defending Luke and killing the Emperor in the end if you remember correctly....I think i agree with senioryangvang he was just lead astray by the dark side...he always had conflict in his heart because of the ones he loved...and fear is what drove him to the dark side in the first place....oh well he was still a pretty bad villan

Vader DOES belong number one,
all those solo evil guys,
even saruon (never evented spaceships) cant beat Vader,
they onlu have to blast the whole damn planet and say byebye to sauron and his army (though, im a great LOTR fan 2 ^^)
and then theyre huge army,
i mean, sauron can pull orcs from the ground.
vader can clone his army, that would be a short fight though,
they have laser blasters..sauron has...swords.

I mean, he forces you to either sacrifice the thing you care for the most, or die... and that's tuff, trying to decide on something like that.. for instance, the man who had to carve out his own eye to get a key that was wedged in there, or die... that would be really hard... and in the end, it make's you realise how important life is... but good call on that.

its just he's being controlled, and after he find's out he accidentally killed his wife (he thinks it was an accident) he looses all emotion... while the Emperor is the one who's pulling the strings... In my opinion, the one pulling the strings is the one that should be more feared, for he has almost complete control over this powerful being... and the fact that the emperor is more manipulative than vader is even scarier.
