  • that body slam on the outside was excellent it looked painful but brett protected him perfectly

  • @Lavar36919 Well, shawn and the Undertake were pretty much from a time when wrestling was still good.

  • these guys lived and breathed it. Puzzling cut to end here though

  • A quarter of the way through Bret's biography, definitely worth a read folks

  • @theballer04 I've probably read it over 5 times and it never gets old lol.

  • Masterpiece!

  • Stampede's need to show replays is worse than WWE's, holy shit I missed the end of the match because of it. Great match but the replay was fucking annoying.

  • Bar-none,one of the finest wrestling matches and displays of what sports entertainment used to be. Hats off to Tom Billington and Brett Hart. Thanks for the awesome match.

  • Jeeze... what kind of idiot disliked this video?

  • @jargandargan: Vince McMahon?

  • who kicks out from a flying kne?

  • Snap suplex's look sweet but they have 2 b brutal on the body considering force (force = mass X acceleration) and whiplash

  • great match

  • @lowblowproductions The last time i watched SGT. Slaughter was the WWF Heavyweight champ. Is this still the case? But seriously I'm the same. 80's- early 90's NWA/WCW and WWF is what i watch. Old matches but they're new to me as I'm only just discovering them.

  • This is what wrestling looks like, two of the best pound for pound , u don't see this anymore for sure !

  • two legends awesome

  • wwe is not as it once was in the start of wwe untill say 2004. there were a lot of great

wrestlers back in those days. now a days the only wrestlers they have in those days is undertaker and triple hhh if he decides to come back.

  • I love pro wrestling like this.I remember being a kid and this kind of wrestling came on late at night in chicago.Matches that were on show like worldwide.Alex Wright vs whoever.Entrance was the flashy part(but not overdone) then the match was pure athleticism.Good days.

  • bret in blue rare!

  • I always found this type of professional wrestling more interesting - no outrageous gimmicks, no jabronis, no beer bashing, no chairmen getting beat up, just two guys who kept their heads down and did their job, and quite well I might add. It's bullshit that guys that actually can wrestle are getting outshone by guys with death metal songs for themes.

  • 2:38 nice smart move by the kid 5 stars.

  • The flying knee at 9:27 is amazing. If he didn't break Hart's nose then it's a miracle. I vividly remember the first time I saw it via Primetime Wrestling. Just an amazing match and that knee was one of the most memorable moments ever.

  • @unclestrug my god that was stiff my friend.I love the announcing too.It really makes the difference

  • @unclestrug MAN ME TO I KNOW HART NOSE WAS IN PAIN ! MISS THE OLD WWF ! HART IN BLUE WAS THE BEST !

  • brother against brother

  • @200260307 In-Laws

  • Man awsome shit Bret and Dynamite were awsome in the ring together WWE needs to put wrestling like this on their TV not the lame ass shit we get now. WWE needs a Dynamite Kid DVD with all his Stampede Shit on it. But the two best technical wrestlers ever

  • Brothers in law at that time, and two of the greatest technical wrestlers in history undoubtedly. Wish it was Jesse commentating with Gorilla Monsoon, greatest announcing duo ever!

  • agree bout alfred hayes, but gorilla legend play by play man!

  • agree bout alfred hayes, but gorilla legend play by play man!

  • agree bout alfred hayes, but gorilla legend play by play man!

  • agree bout alfred hayes, but gorilla legend play by play man!

  • agree bout alfred hayes, but gorilla legend play by play man!

  • viewin this 4 1st time,fukin awesum dude 2ov the best eva!

  • these guys really do make you believe they are kicking the shit out of each other,

    true athletes and legends,

i laugh at the wrestlers today!

  • wow awsome match... fuckin shitty commentators tho

  • They talk about the Wrestling Classic that was a tournament that Junkyard Dog (of all people) won. I do however remember that during the tournament Dynamite Kid beat Volkoff while he was singing the Soviet anthem. Drop kick fromthe top while he was singing. Oh & like steviebhoy7 I too could watch Dyno's snap suplex all day. I love the escape at 2:36

  • The suplex at 1:57 is absolutely beautiful. Could watch that all day!!

  • @steviebhoy7

    wow that was crazy fast

  • 7:45 LMFAO!!!!!

  • Two of the best.

Its such a shame wrestling like this isn't widely available to watch anymore. Back when the matches had some realism to them.

    Thanks for posting

  • I think its so funny that the dynamite kid was such a bully and then he gets beat up by all people Jacques Rougeau...truly amazing

  • \well from what I read about that situation is that even though Jacques sucker punched him with brass knuckles Tommy still didn't go down & even Vince was impressed with that. I only wish that Dynamite Kid hadn't hurt his back. Great in the ring. Legit tough. & was apparently quite the shooter. On the other hand though if he hadn't hurt his back & was able to still compete he'd probably be dead from all the crap he put in himself.

  • @NICKTUBER80

I thought it was Raymond Rougeau!

  • dynamite kid was likely the best ever!! he had no weaknesses. unfortunate he suffered that back injury.

    BEST EVER

  • @kvarsity10 complete contradiction

  • @Lavar36919

    very true

  • good stuff

  • I think todays matches go back and forth a lot plenty, but the wrestlers don't have nearly the quality in basic fundamentals and execution that these guys have

  • I like the blue on bret hart. Cool uniform.

  • 2:10 "BREAK HIS NECK!!!" I hope that's a woman and not an 8-year-old...

  • can anyone explain to me why ric flair doesn't like bret?

  • This is Wrestling!! not today's silly clones lol.. Fantastic match here but Dynamite Kid vs Tiger Mask!! now that's the best wrestling match ever!!

  • La pire realisation que j'ai vue

  • These guy's are way up there in a stratosphere of talent, ability and commitment that simply doesn't exist in Pro Wrestling today...........

................and I fear we'll be waiting a very long time before the likes of Dynamite and Brett take the Main Events again. Which is just plain wrong!

  • WWE should make this video mandatory viewing to everyone in FCW and on Raw before they satrt taping or broadcasting.

  • @DVROFFMAN i love DK

  • agreed redstarboard, two of the best.

  • Now i remember why i can't watch the crap that passes for wrestling today. This was magic because you always guessed how much was scripted and how much was real. Today, you have a serious lack of pro wrestling talent, combined with the emergence of the UFC, and the end result is that you have a real fight vs a scripted fight, and the people have a choice. Back when, if the wrestlers were good enough, they always kept you guessing, AND it was incredibly entertaining.

  • In an interview Bret Hart said he hadn't even been in wrestling for a year yet when he was in Stampede wrestling. Not bad for a rookie. This match itself beats any current WWE main event.

lol I'd like to see Hogan or Ric Flair's first few matches. Must be sad.

  • it's amazing,,, watch this match, then turn on raw or smackdown. there's almost no way to compare it. these are 2 of the finest technical wrestlers in the history of the sport. as for the current "product".... SCREW SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT!!! I WANT PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING

  • @bladestormviking The WWE is nothing but posers and pornstars now.

  • Greatest Wrestler of All Time... Dynamite Kid! Bret Hart not far behind!

  • your right there even bret himself said dynamite kid was the greatest pound for pound wrestler of all time but to me there both awesome excellent match

  • These two could have a three-star match in their sleep.

  • ....wow...that flying knee... i cant get over it

  • These two were are and still the best wrestlers ever. Case close, I don't care what anyone says. I also miss that arena they are performing in. I have alot of wrestling memories from the Capital Centre, or The USAir Arena in later years. Wrestling is not the same as it was in those days.

  • Has anyone got their match they did in Warrington in the 80s?

  • Two of the best that ever did it right here. They both are pro at making the other guy look good, that's the true sign of a well-trained wrestler

  • dynamite kid kid kinda reminds me of an earlier version of Chris Benoit. Similar shape, wrestling style etc

  • He should. Benoit's biggest influence was Dynamite. Bret was 2nd.

  • Shame the way the Dynamite Kid ended up tho.

  • A cryin shame. dynamite crippled, davey boy dead, benoit dead, all those lives ruined. sad.

  • Bret Hart think, Dynamite kid is the greates wrestler of all times.

    However, Nice Vid.

  • After seeing this, I think all of us 70's and 80's wrestling fans now understand why we can't watch todays product. ******

  • My knowledge of wrestling anno 2008 is limited, I must admit, but I remember the 80s, and I do try to stay a little bit informed. But watching this makes me wonder...is there anyone at all "wrestling" today who is one-tenth the wrestler that Dynamite was?

I remember Bret Hart calling him "pound for pound the greatest wrestler that ever lived", and while that is obviously an exaggeration (Lou Thesz could've taken him easily), Tom Billington must have been the greatest wrestler of the 80s by far

  • I disagree, I think that Dynamite was the wrestler of the 80s, and one of the only reasons that I rank Lou Thesz better than him is because of his innovations to the wrestling world. Just thought I could share my opinion as well.

  • Watching this match makes me very mad yet it's still satisfying. Wrestlers (I use the term loosely) fucking suck nowadays. God bless the dead list of pro wrestler, because whether you loved them of hate them, as past or current fans we took 'em for granted.

    Damn

  • Thanx for posting. Was at this match live!!! Still remember it too.

  • Cool. Sure it brings great memories to you.

  • 9:26 !!!! WTF !!! that was so awesome, no faking that, and he kicked out ! brilliant match between two brilliant wrestlers !! :)

  • yeah there is...simple slide of the knee when he hits (i say simple but its not that simple lol but you know what I mean) so yeah, its just bret is damn good at selling those shots

  • great match by the 2 best wrestlers ever

  • wow! never seen this one before!

  • Thanks for the memories...I had this match on my beta tapes!

  • 1:58

Quickest snap suplex I ever seen from Dynamite.

  • Dynamite was on fire before he became a cripple

  • Thx 4 posting an excellent mid-80's match-up with DYNAMITE KID and BRETT HART!!

  • haha Bret w/ the two Ts...I remember that too
