Every new motor smokes and ticks like a son of a bitch when it is first started, then after about 20 minutes to a half an hour it stops and sounds great.
@Lash700000 yea i agree, looked the same on my freshly built type-r on my civic. All the gaskets are fusing, plus any oil or lubricants on the motor will burn off.
The hydraulic tappets need some oil, as they are brand new and full of air. The smoke is from the exhaust manifold, a thin lay of oil still remains from the production of it.

Lol hjavent no 1 heard a first time motor start from a saab before ??? :D
Its sound and smokes like it shud ..
About 20 min later and a restart and the ticking sound shud be gone : )

I'd love to see you reach 500hp =). Nice Tuning...how did u manage to reach 400bhp+?, just curious. Could you post the car's test drive video?
