One hundred per cent right. Most people do shallow breathing 24/7 and that causes a lot of problems, physical and mental. Personally, I believe that most people could also do away with tranquilizers if they practice breathing as you explained, for a few minutes a day, every day or when they are tense. If practiced for longer periods, I know from experience that the body learns to continue breathing that way even when we are asleep!
From Saint Tropez, France, . . -=- So right, good breathing , . it prevents many anxiety problems which btw often can be cured with "an aspirin" -=- Little addition Sniffing the yellow citrus perfume ( so, the outside you may scratch it to have more perfume) that makes great cleaning of the lungs terrific for emphysema patients And if you like the tip Please thumb UP my OBAMA BLUES which is on my opening page.
Awesome thanks so much for the video... I've been breathing wrong since about the 8th grade. I was running and figured out how to breath the wrong way, then after intentionally doing so it eventually stuck that way. I didn't know it can cause back pain; I just thought I had weak back muscles (I also threw out my back in high school... worked it down to where I was completely hunched over). Sorry I'm a rambler.
Thanks for posting this. It's true that many of us are shallow breathers = chest breathers as you mentioned in your video. I'm sharing this video with my students as your video is self-explanatory. So thank you.
Great tip and you never even tried to sell me anything! Thanks Doc;)

Well-done.
Striving for 6 breaths/minute or less with exhale nearly twice as long as inhale will alleviate pressure on the heart, too.
