WPF has a lot of exploits in it. It is too integrated into the system to be considered safe, according to Chairman Rodney. I'd stick with HTML5 which can also be integrated in regular programming and desktop clients.
who give a damn? Microsoft brought these technologies to the world and millions of peoples lives have improved because of software development jobs. Just because opensource came doesn't mean it is much better than MS technologies.
Everyone is just too against MS, if they looked at the bigger picture or actually work in the industry they'd find that Flash is the most abysmal (that's negative defintion of the word) language to program in. WPF isn't just applied to browser technology it is also for desktop.

Everything they show-off in this video can be presented using Flash or javascript much more efficiently (and actually code compliant) than with Microsoft's app. It doesn't surprise me that MS is trying to compete with Flash etc, though. MS needs to focus on making their own I.E. code compliant first.

"Microcud", Makers of Fine Regurgitated Software and Ideas! Can't beat 'em? Fake it! Adobe FLASH RipOff-ware from M$! Just Google It!..Sorry..FLASH Rules the Web,w/just YouTube alone! LOLz ...ain't going to change!!! ..and do we really need another attempt by M$ to rule the World in yet another way? The Evil Empire can't control itself w/o "P"ing on someone else's ideas, rights and privacy!

I bet you cry yourself to sleep a lot.
They release something "like" flash, but it's actually so much more, and the best you can do is troll youtube videos posting bullshit comments and crying.
silverlight 1.0 & 1.1 are pretty weak. their data access capabilities are very limited. No databinding, no WCF. Can't compete with flash yet, but I think it'll get there eventually. WPF has some limitations as well, mostly in that they don't offer standard controls such as DataGridView or Calendar. Odd for the MS winforms replacement. Things will evolve though so keep your eyes peeled.
how are the graphics made in this program, like the rotating black jacket.

They are making it easier and easier for people to make websites that soon, myself as a web designer will be out of a job!

That will never happen, designers will be more and more needed due to increased need for artwork. Sites made using WPF require
"allot" more artwork than a usual site.

You can't compar Flash/JavaScript with WPF. But there is Flex that I think has more potentiel than WPF.
Do net use WPF -- > Use FLEX

It's really very ignorant to compare WPF and something like flash. WPF is much much more than fancy graphics.

noice, hopefully the silverlight subset will be rich enough to deliver most of the power that WPF offers.
