The Magician is the great Alan Shaxon from UK...actually a very pro magician playing it "awful" a bit like les dawson playing the piano off key.... very hard to - so "mr bean can get the laughs....brilliant piece of comedy......none of the magic props are real magic props ...just magical look-a-like fakes. Pro Magicians wouldn't dare use that kind of crap. Poor Alan.

I always loved the long-suffering girlfriend bits in Mr. Bean. He treats her like such crap. The best one is where she's egging him onto buy her a ring, and instead he takes out a little box and reveals a pin to hang the new picture he just bought.

XD So you're on his side then. Fair enough. I felt so sorry for his little girlfriend but in retrospect she's better off without him. That's one of the things many don't catch at first with the character, that I love - because he's like a child, he has all the mean self-centredness too. Like when he has a giant popcorn bucket at the the cinema, he gives her a tiny one, still nicks some of hers, and then when she wants some of his he smacks her and wails, "No! These are mine!" LOL.
