It is a beutiful Mansion but take cash. It costs 10$ to walk through the gate to the house or 5$ just to stand in the garden. Had I known I wouldn't have driven all the way over there with credit cards. But their sign is sadly rude. It states that walking to the house for information is considered part of the tour be prepared to pay 5$.
Its a beautiful Mansion. I dont live to far from Mississippi so I think I will take a weekend trip . The Myrtles was awesome, I stayed in the care takers shack. Oh what a night it was!
Waverly is in my family. Hi aunt Cindy! I can't say that I have ever seen little-girl-lost but the whole plantation as well as the graveyard across the street, which is the resting place of several past owners, definitely has a strange atmosphere that compliments the idea of a paranormal existence .
i had to work here , she chased me i sware to god she did!! i was walking to the kitchen and i heard something and looked, nothing there, then i ran,when i got to the door i opened it and as always it ding i closed it and locked it .....then the scary part it opened and sounded like dingding over and over me and the other gurls ran and i was 10 and they were six!!and i could hear her behind me !!
the real ghost story is about it's graveyard across the street from the house. Now, that isn't anything you'll hear on t.v. but you'll hear it from the locals..really freaky!
I didnt know Friendship Cemetery was haunted. I've only been here for a few years-I had some friends take me out to Waverly graveyard late 2006...freaked me out!
