Reminds me of this monster I created once called the Jellyfish. This video, and me hunting down Fraxy in general, actually got me into the game, so I thought Jellyfish would be a nice homage.
He was a tough customer, too: threw homing lasers, had vulcan sprays and let off a nasty barrage of missiles to start. The key was to go around him and shoot him in his big "head" rather than trying to shoot his tentacles off.

I have a boss like yours, but mine have 5 barriers, lasers and a lot of things, but its destroyable.
