love prog rock, its one of the few music genres i can truly appreciate, by closely listening to the music. the progression can be very subtle sometimes, too.
I love this composition, but the lyrics kind of ruin it for me because I absolutely hated school. Ages 5-10 were the happiest years of my life, but not because of school. Like having to work for a living now, school then was the bane of my existence.
I used to absolutely hate school as well. It was a torture I had to endure every day for years. I understand where you 're coming from but I believe you can gain something from every bitter experience. I want to be a professor for instance :) And by the way, Gentle Giant is my favorite band and this song is just wonderful
This song, this album, this band owns! (All right, I know my name is metal rules, I,ve changed xD Just haven't gotten around to changing my name.) (Not that metal is bad or anything. I Just like Prog better now.) xD
@Metalrulz7 Dude metal does rule most metal was extremely influenced from progrressive. You can see it in so many of the greatest bands Black Sabbath had prog Elements, Dream Theater is one of the greatest bands, Iron Maiden, Metallica was partially a progressive metal band in Master of Puppets and .....And Justice. It's all good.

a lot of ideas in all their pieces
and they were very good musicians, and it's not easy to play this music in a live concert
few metal bands have so much ideas
but there is no war here: metal guys are true musicians and many of them love this wonderful band
