Oh wait dkingjimmy that sounds like your job. Lots of methods to load cattle and everyone has an opinion. Can't make everyone happy. @08farmer... I load cattle too, my own. Some of the worst cattle handlers I know are truckers. Guarantee if he had back up 10 feet and given that black bull 30 more seconds after the red bull stepped on, he'd have been loaded and on the road about 30 minutes quicker, without being out of breath, and without being able to give PETA more ammunition. I give him an F.

@ocalacowgirl I do not use one very often when loading cattle. These registered cattle have great dispositons and I rarely need to zap them to get them to move. I actually made loading these harder than it needed to be. Usually I just let them stand there with the gate closed behind them and leave them alone, and after a few minutes they jump right in...but I was in a hurry to get to the vet.

I have cattle to and its not that hard because its dairy but it still is hard... I also have pigs there hard to get in the trailer my dumb dog herded into the electric fence and the pig got  stuck in it the day of the show... but you are good at it!!!

I haul cattle for a living and you only use a hot shot when there is no other option. that bull was young and wasnt real sure what was going on thats why the other bull was kept with him. Broncpeel I wouldnt want you around me and cattle people like you get folks and animals hurt

You are very right!!! I have not used a hot shot in a long time when loading cattle. I deal mostly with registered cattle and they all have very good dispositions. We do not put up with crazy cows for one minute!!!

I haven't used a hot shot loading cattle in a very long time. I was a little too aggressive with him there at first. I usually just let them do their thing and they settle down and load right up. Those two Red Angus Bulls I got just walk right in there for me every time. I was hoping the young bull would follow, but I don't blame him for not wanting to get in there at first with those other older ones really. The big bull in the front of the trailer was making all kinds of racket.
