  • thanks so much dude! extremely helpful!

  • doz it work with flip mino

  • this helped so much!

    thanks! :)

  • when i go to play it it only shows black

  • When i go to File on Quicktime, or share, or any of the other drop down bars for that matter, I cant find Export. Any help?

  • DAMN IT I SHOULDNT OF BOUGHT THE FLIP

  • thanks a lot

  • so what if i dont want to buy quicktime pro...is there any other way to do it?

  • You don't have to buy Quicktime. Drag the DCIM files from the Flip, and you drag them to your desktop. They are automatically .MP4!!! You then just go onto iMovie, then File: Import Movies: choose your files, and bam

  • @AGforAG I tried moving to desktop, but the file remained a Flip file, did not automatically convert to MP4 did I do something wrong?

  • @richardgmattson hmm I dont think you did anything wrong, it may just be mine. Oh I think you have to have the updated version of Quicktime which can make things into .MP4 and then automatically converts them, it does the same thing from iphoto

  • I agree with RichouseandRed and Conorholihan. When I tried your method, I couldn't do it without ordering Quicktime Pro. Is there a method you can do it without ordering Quicktime Pro?

  • All you have to do is import from IMovie from the DCIM file on the flip!!! I bought Quick Time Pro for nothing. Damn it.

  • Thanks. I appreciate the explanation. It was easy to follow.

  • thanks!!

  • except for FRED!

  • You are the most annoying person on the internet!!!!

  • wow you sound sooo boooring.

  • How do you do this without quick time pro?

  • i got as far as the part wher you export. it says i need quicktime or quick player pro. is there any way to get around it? or do i even need it any body?

  • Thank you!

  • This is SUPER helpful, thanks! Anyone know how I get rid of the sound in the original video? Like, if you want to take this video, get rid of the narration/background noise and set it to music?

  • garage band...

  • I don't know if it was a recent update to iMovie '08 but unlike in this video I can import FlipVideo AVI directly into iMovie without transcoding it with Quicktime Pro. FYI I'm on iMovie '08 7.1.4 (585).

I was about ready to buy Quicktime Pro for $30 after watching this but luckily found out that I could save my money with a direct import.

  • but you need quicktime pro =(

  • everytime i go to the clip i recorded, finder quicks. idk what to do!

  • It actually worked! Will you marry me? Oh, feel free to keep your dollar.

  • Say Fire dog instead of dog fire it sounds cooler... FIRE DOG!! wahoo

  • Dog fire!

  • Download isquint. It's free.

  • OKAY! I did this and it kills the quality!! A better way is to select .mov instead of MP4! .mov has great quality!

  • Thanks so much that was very helpful!

  • First, Quicktime Pro ($30.00) is required. But more importantly, this drastically degrades the video quality. Is there a way to do this without killing the quality?

  • really!!!!

  • sminman Dude great video.. One thing though you dog is NOT much an actor he keeps looking at the camera while your filming him

  • Thank you, very helpful. First thing I had to do was get Pro of course ;)

  • you should invest in a screenrecorder i use screenflow i got it for 84 bucks because i am a student

  • how much better is the ultra than the normal one???

  • Hi. Thanks so much! Answers a lot of my questions. You "the man"! Thanks, again. C.

  • Good video.. Next time combing the fire and dog together and then it will exciting. Oh and I see your stealing or burning illegal copies with "Handbrake" lol.

  • Great Vid! I really needed this info.

  • That video was really useful! Thanks!

  • To export from Quicktime you need to upgrade to Quicktime Pro for $30 bucks.

  • Yes this is a key bit of information!
