his bow hold NEEDS to be corrected or later he wont be able to play the up-up-up/down-down-down style (it's not the hooked bowing) and the wrist should never rest on the neck or then he can't vib.

This is terrible! The poor boys struggling! He is very weak! Try easier songs to start with. He will then improve more and find it easier. But keep on practising though, i know someday you'll be great!
