Because "socialist" is given a huge negative connotation in America, and it's basically the go-to term of Republicans when they want to bash anyone who is liberal, and I guarantee that half of them don't even know what socialist means.

I would say I agree with you but I think that it’s more than 50% my friend. I think that’s the case nationwide with regard to this subject. Many who do have socialist views are not even aware that they are socialist. Many of them call themselves progressives.

@ritter89 People tend to get a little more lean in the later years (well either that of they bloat), look at Angelina Jolie. Also she looks 10 years younger here also because she is 10 years younger.
