the beginng bit is all wrong thoes are not vents they are just simple holes for decoration i have taken my 360 apart and no air comes out of thos holes the only place air comes out of is the back grill tip: make shure there is ample space between the back of your 360 and a surfage eg a wall or something pull your xbox forward away from anything like that also save your games to your hard drive your xbox will be cooler and quieter and will also use less power
i use a cooling pad which is ment for a laptop,i place my xbox sideways on to it ,which lifts it about 2cm from my unit ,and the cooling pad as 3 fans built in to it which draw heat away from the xbox .its highly reccommended
@RamonSanchez14 Yeah, the new Nyko Intercooler TS model works great because it uses its own power source and is easily detached from the Xbox 360. I especially like it because I have like $50 worth of tools to open my 360 up and clean out the dust. So if it takes $30 to blast all the hot air out and keep it cool, then okay. what i did is the penny trick thing and turned my fan around and put the white thing in that blows ait in the cpu and gpu i think and leave it open and it cools for me (thats what i found that workes)

If you stand it up it gets more air,put it's easier for it to fall,and make a ring around your game. If you lay it down it gets less air but is hard to mess up games. So depends which is more important to you.
I use an intercooler. Have an old xbox that is still going strong. I like ur points,i'll use them,but since i used the intercooler i haven't been getting red rings.
i have a hardrive that goes on the side of the xbox. should i ger a memory card and take off the hardrive or dose it not make suxh a big difference becaise my xbox overheats about 10 minuites after turning it on.

what i did is the penny trick thing and turned my fan around and put the white thing in that blows ait in the cpu and gpu i think and leave it open and it cools for me (thats what i found that workes)

If you stand it up it gets more air,put it's easier for it to fall,and make a ring around your game. If you lay it down it gets less air but is hard to mess up games. So depends which is more important to you.
I use an intercooler. Have an old xbox that is still going strong. I like ur points,i'll use them,but since i used the intercooler i haven't been getting red rings.

3rd 360 ? I only had to buy 1 PS3 on the first month of the release and it still working as a brand new PS3 60 Gb US model. You forgot inFamous, Metal Gear Solid 4, Resistance 2, Motorstorm someyhing that even PC and 360 don't have. I play Gears 2, Halo 3 and Forza 2 on my gaming PC. 360 games are easy to emule on PC because the 360 isn't powerful as the PS3. Blu-Ray have less clients because it cost a 1080p HDTV and a 300-500$ blu-ray player to have the benefits of this new technology while everybody can afford a 200$ CRT TV and a 50$ DVD player so it's quite normal that DVD have more clients if DVD player is way cheaper. It's like the console war between 360 and PS3. Less ppl can afford the best technology blu-ray, 1080p, 1000 Gigabit Internet router, 1.3 HDMI, SSD, so almost all ppl go for the cheaper system because they can't afford the best.
