67 years old, makes movies released internationally, has plenty of international contacts... The man is my favorite animator of all time, and his movies are incredibly intelligent and imaginative... So how on earth hasn't he learnt English yet? You'd think it would help his international career and be worth lear ing. Or even picking up small bits over the years. But no... ;-)
Its kind of funny because he is such a big director and has been working with disney for a while but he doesnt know english... then again he is so kool he doesnt need to speak english
Yeah, this had to be one of my all time favorite moments at Comic-con. I remember I was bummed I couldn't get into the Warner Bros. panel, but fortunately I made it to the Disney panel because I was so excited to get to see Miyazaki-san. Comic -con was amazing, but don't be disappointed if you didn't get to go, the majority of us were far enough to where we could only watch them on large screens anyway.
For some reason I thought he would've known English by know. He's still one of my favorite directors though n_n

@Richteralan
Disagree. Disney does him the favor of using their widely-known name to promote his films.
Quit dissing Disney.

@harassed09 Amen. John Lasseter is a wise man to bring his great films here. Disney is again in good hands.
