It's an armadillo 40. Used to fly these myself and boy are they fun. Try that kind of a 'landing' with grandpa's balsa plane and you bring it home in a trash bag.
The AMA exposed- You dont need the AMA type in general liability insurance on google. Here you find lower rates than the AMA without grumpy old men. Save money.
I took out my video cam when I saw he was having trouble fastening the wing bolts. This was at a sod farm in Wisconsin that the local rc club was allowed to fly at. The turf was really soft....I think that it was fortunate because that cushoned the one point landing.
Been there, done that!! I ended up fitting a automatic parachute system, sometimes you accidentally pull to many G's then watch the one way ride to the bin bag. Saved a lot of glue and time!!
Great to see that you guys can laugh about it, no point in getting all pissy when this stuff happens. But hey, remember that the throttle control isn't a switch, you can back off a bit if the plane is climbing too high :-) That has to be the best bit of lawn-darting I've seen in a long time. Well done!
good job to that repair, the fuse should have had a lot of damage, we had the same crash in the past and we couldn't repair the plane, it was totally damaged, today I almost forget to screw the bolts in my yak54 luckly i saw it on time.

wow it looks like you should just strap a motor to the wing. it flew longer then the plane did. just kidding but that was a nice plane.

I recommend standing behind the plane and away from the propeller line while the engine is running, otherwise Hilarious!

was it an intentional arrow...

No it wasn't intentional. We actually repaired the airplane and flew it a few more years.
