There is a peak flow chart that goes along with these peak flow meters. These charts show normal peak flows for people with certain height/age. Based on the normal and the patient's Peak Expiratory Flow tells the severity of the asthma.
WHAT .. yellow is not where you want to be you crazy RT! Yellow means slow down caution take rescue medication until you reach your green zone. I am a certified asthma educator and this was the worst explanation of the use of a peak flow meter.
once again great video. my peak flow meter doesn't have the red, yellow and green zones you were talking about.. could you tell me, from what numbers do these zones all go between? like red would go from 0 - ?
