@guitarsalert A b bender is a lever that runs from the ball of the b string to the front strap button, usually on a Telecaster. When you pull down on the guitar, the lever/strap button raises the pitch of the b string one whole step. It's an awkward concept that I just discovered.
@guitarsalert The device was invented by Clarence White and Gene Parsons. Clarence was the lead guitar player for the Byrds. They were cutting some country rock tunes and Clarence wanted to put in some steel licks. So he and Parson thought up putting the same pull/push lever that is on a steel guitar and the rest is history. Clarence used it first on Sweetheart of the Rodeo. He dies shortly after getting hit by a car. Marty Stuart owns the guitar now.
Nice. Really nice, but tuned up another semi and I'd not hear anything. The dogs were shifting a bit when the guitar was starting to talk to them! Seriously though...good demo and that's from a Will Ray fan. One day I will be worthy of Donahu worship...know what I mean?
