Yeah, because no levee has ever broken or caused devestation ever before, and this song probably wasn't a reference to a 1927 flood... OH, WAIT, IT IS.
Freaking awesome song! ONe of my favs by them. The beat is SICK! If they had to do a rap cover of a Led song this would be it, just sayin, since the beat nd stuff. Sick song though love it!
aTHEISTnotanAtheist--are you always an asshole or did you pick this particular day to try it out? Either way you succeeded brilliantly...congratulations.
jamarass or what ever your name is to put it well simple your a dumbass ! one of the best bands ever if you can match it bring it! no skank spears either hahaha ! all in good fun !
Like a lot of Lz and other early rock songs, it's a cover of an older blues tune. This one was written by Memphis Minnie McCoy and "levee" refers to the great MS flood of 1927.
A girl once told me this was her favorite song to strip to. I thought that was weird until I had another listen. I'll never hear it the same way again.
Love this song. My favorite of all time. Perfect song to just listen and enjoy. There are 2 different thigns about this song that really make it stand out. The harmonica and the drums in this song were recorded in a huge castle in England. That really makes this song so great. Great piece of work.
Bonham always ran coated Emperors on batter side and coated Ambassadors on the bottom of all his toms. The sound that combo makes is pretty distinct and he obviously was not using that setup on this recording.
This song was recorded with Bonham on a brand new out of the box drum kit. The toms sound unlike other Bonham studio drum parts. Here he sounds like he's using clear batter heads which would make sense if the drums were in fact brand new and untouched.
These are not the best these are just your favorites... All songs from Zeppelin are the best! All songs from Led Zeppelin are favorited by someone already...
As much as I am a Genesis fan and love Phil Collins' playing on drums, I have to admit that John Bonham is THE greatest drummer ever. Pure violent energy.
Let the levee break. The levee placed in your mind by yourself and others. From yourself in way of your own perspective. From others if you let yourself conform to what others think of you. Just think for yourself and break your levee.
Yeah I know what you mean. Stairway and Kashmir are great and all, but after hundreds of times of hearing them, they lose some of their magic. But all of these less known songs are just as good, if not better
Best Boy band ever! Imagine if they didnt bother playing instruments and did dance routines to this music like Boyz II Men or Take That- they'd have been awesome! they could've had session musicians or a tape in the background!
first ever led zeppelin song i've listened to lol... i know they are very popular but just never been into them... now is the time..... what are their best songs?
Depends what you like. If you're into a harder rock type thing go with songs like this, Immigrant Song, Achilles Last Stand, Black Dog, Kashmir, Whole Lotta Love, How Many More times...if you want more bluesy type songs go for Lemon Song, Since I've Been Loving You, most of their first album, a lot of their 2nd album. If you are looking for a laid back feel go for Stairway to heaven, most of the 3rd album, Going to California, Down by the Seaside, Bron-yr-aur.
Achilles Last Stand, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp, Since I've Been Loving You, Rain Song, Kashmir, Hot Dog, Rock and Roll, Battle of Evermore, Traveling Riverside Blues.
And yeah, see No Quarter, Heartbreaker, and Black Dog!
