Ahh good times, took some training divers with me and had my instructor friend teach them a bit at Dutch this past week-end then one of them told us to go to the surface when we got there we all said whats wrong then she said "nothing I just wanted to talk" ha funniest things happen at Dutch to me.
@Rogerhockey999 Umm I did my search and recovery, peak performance, and night diver specialty that weekend so no pleasure diving but overall I was mostly in 5' vis from silt trying to rig a lift bag lolz but if you got in before everyone silted it up at the platforms it was about 30' pretty nice at 8 am :) and no rain only on Friday night I camped out and rained around 4-5am
what type of camera were you using? i like the zoom ..... have you finished rescue diver yet???? good luck with your adventures.... ive been there too ;) awesome place to train!!!
@dwatt5 The camera I used was a Canon SD990. Taylor finished her rescue course two years ago and then finished the Jr Master Scuba Diver and now is 15 and is a Master Scuba Diver. Thanks for the note.
@openup291 The water is the warmest in the end of August into September. I would think it would be about 68 now. Dutch Springs has a website that shows the temperatures each month.
Wow i was freediving the bus a fewdays ago and saw that same trout Hes HUGE. And today i think i saw the same rainbow by the school bus? Do u see this trout alot
I did my open water cert dives at Dutch Springs and yes there is a old school bus that is sunk there I know because I seen it on my dives as well and there are some old cabin cruisers too.
Pretty cool. They have a bunch of stuff in Dutch Springs. Airplanes, Cranes, Trucks, cars, Trolley cars, boats, fire truck, etc.. Hope you are still diving and are having fun.
My friend dove there last Thursday and he said it was 44 in the water. Too cold for me.
@Rogerhockey999 that's cool and btw I was 22 years old when I did my open water dives and I can tell your kids love it too. I live in Philadelphia and the trolley that was sunk there used to be used by my local transit agency SEPTA. I haven't done a open water dive since my cert dives but I do pool dives from time to time I hope to return to Dutch Springs and would love to visit the Jules Verne Undersea lodge like in some of your other videos too someday.
In August the water is about 68 degrees. 44 is really cold. In 2001 I took a Padi shark feeding course in the Bahamas and it was 70 in the water. The next weekend I took a rebreather course and it was 36 degrees in April in Dutch Springs. My instructor made me go down to 60 feet by myself because he was too cold. Hope you had a good dry suit. Keep up the diving. Roger
The bus is in a quarry and was cleaned up before it was put in. No oil, no gas totally cleaned. It is used for rescue diving, recreational diving and the water stays in the quarry and the water is actually really clear.
She went from being not into diving into being a real good diver. I guess it was the three year break and then becoming more mature. It was great diving the school bus with her.
Glad you liked the video. Happy Holidays!

@sgtfury99 That is a funny story. Maybe the person was getting nervous about being under the water.
I was thinking about going last weekend, but I heard it was supposed to rain. How is the water now?

@sgtfury99 That is a funny story. Many new divers get nervous and make up good stories to get out from under the water.

I just did the school bus on Saturday it was like 44 degrees, how warm was it in there in August?

The bus must be 20 years old plus. They put it down there for divers to have fun.
Dutch Springs is a underwater diving park. Lots of items to explore and practice on.
