I would try to make but I am worried if I buy it from lowes or home depot would it have chemicals on it? And how come you are trying to make it rough?

The person I spoke to about this at home hardware said there was nothing bad on it, plus I did wash it in the tub (Part 1).
I was roughing it up to make pores and more areas for the silicone to stick to. I have been told that was a wise idea.
