@DevilDan83 Well, she is a cat. As such she is in possession of a fair bit of intelligence, as far as animals go. I could see her messing with the door controls given a long time of watching Data touch them and the door open. A world of touch screens makes it much easier on animals.

It's never really explained why the change was made--Spot has also changed gender without comment--but it's been suggested in jest that it was a transporter malfunction or she's a shapeshifter.
