  • Bassist couldn't handle that at all, pino handles it much better, but obviously entwistle in all his trebley glory is king

  • the drummer did well to match keith moon

  • liam's best voice!

  • I fucking hate liam.

Godd voice and all, but Noel is the talented one, and Liam treats him like shit.

  • @SirBanuTheFourth They're both to blame for the split and for all the difficulties the band had over the years, don't feel sorry for either one they're still both absolutely loaded. :L

  • Noel : Let's do a Who cover!

    Drummer : Fuck

  • Liam's voice will live forever

  • @Christaphunk92 His voice lasted about 8 years then it was shot!!

  • @AndyOshea nah man, Liam's voice is as good as it ever was. His singing style has changed a lot since definitely maybe. Dont forget he was only 19 when that was recorded. He's went from a boy to a man during his music career.

  • My generation is from The Who or Oasis ???

  • Comment removed

  • @pickupthebass1 alright, why did they spam your comment, I think its because, some dumbass tough that My generation is from oasis ..... The Who are better !!!

  • @JasMasKas The Who

  • @UkViper1 thanks

  • The menace of Liams voice makes this

  • the first band that can actually pull off a cover of this song!

  • Liams voice is at its very best here. Makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!

  • Fuck Justin Beiber. Sad.

  • when liam's voice was brilliant!

  • I actually preferr this to the original! this is awesome!

  • This is an amazing cover of this song

  • Tip Top

Townsend would be proud of that one,

shame Noel hasnt got the sunburst Les Paul that he got off Johnnie Marr who got it off Townshend......... Class....

  • spot on carehat.

  • I love liam's voice

  • good

  • ilove the who i love oasis

  • lush

  • Fade -a-Way!

  • Perfectly and very clear man == Carehat 5/5!

  • wow i always thought liam had an "ok" voice but this was amazing. I think he only sings well if he has a passion for the song. Amazing cover!

  • Wooo! Look at Alan going crazy in the back, that's so cool

  • ONLY ROCK N ROLL!!!!!!!!

  • why doesn't liam ever take off his glasses until like 2 years ago

  • one thing bout newer pop bands...no skills in their instruments like how it use to be...the bass solo sux!

n wat happened to the guitar parts...two guitarist but no one playing lead?? hmmmm

  • @wuhoolalalala: Didn't know there was a lead guitar in My Generation ? In the Who it was Pete playing power chords. You dont find many 'lead' solos in Who tracks.

Even Townsend described himself as a 'strummer'. This cover is very good. I play guitar (own 10)

  • No one can do a better bass solo of this song better than john, Stop being a loser and flaming bands.

  • Talking bout my generashaaawn,

  • God work by the tv crew, btw. That b/w and colour mix live is not as easy as it looks and yeah, great cover.

  • Too bad the TV crew doesn't know who's playing the bass, keep zooming in on Gem @ the bass solo bits.

  • long live the who???

  • missing them! :(. I hope thre could ever be another fucking awesome band like them

  • NOEL IS GOD!

  • good cover.

  • the end was sooooo good

  • Liam and Noel complement each others voices perfectly, amazing!

  • I love the brotherly banter at the start. Reminds me a bit of me and my bro...

  • Easily the best version of this song I've ever heard!

  • Andy bell !

  • The Best, Simply.

Someone could tell me what they said at the beginning? Cheers.

    ^_^

  • LOL... thanks...cheers m8

  • No prob man :)

  • @meloveoasis noel sounded so upset when he called him an old twat

  • Great....amazing... this song is perfect for Oasis's performance live...

  • the bass is fine, there's no point anybody trying to match up to entwistle, andy does just fine!

  • great cover but the bass solo's aren't that amazing

  • haha at :04 after liam says what about yourself, look at gems reaction!!

  • Brilliant cover, brilliant band!

  • Liam has an amazing voice. I love this tune as well. The Who certainly know how to pen some good tunes. Love you, Oasis.

  • Why do people say 'omGZ why are they trying to CovER these guIZ'. Seriously let me make some things clear for you 12 year olds.

    1. Oasis were the biggest band in the world in the 90's there is no debate there, they sold 9 million copies of a so called 'flop album'..?

    2. Playing songs like this is NEVER meant to be better or even attempt to be better than the original. Its called a tribute, call it respect if you will.

In 20-30 years people will b coverin Oasis. It boils down to Inspiration.

  • Well said.

  • I am 13 and i fuckin love both versions.....

i also agree with u lol

  • @carehat ABSOLUTELY man, live forever!

  • @carehat They just do covering oasis in this moment look at maroon 5 or sum 41 or good charlotte they all have oasis covers

And Oasis are one of the best british bands ever one the same level like the beatles the who and the rolling stones

sry for my bad english i'm german

  • @dativ100 but maroon 5, sum 41 or good charlotte REALLY SUCKS, worst bands ever, oasis rocks

  • @carehat hey im 12 and im a huge young oasis fan,

  • @carehat hahaha radiohead was the biggest ban in the word in the 90's..

  • @nahu90 Radiohead were some shity depressing band tho...

  • @nahu90 Radiohead, whilst they were indeed a very musically talented band of musicians, they were a gang of middle class ballbags who moaned themselves into faux fashionista obscurity. Oasis are a top class rock and roll band who are capable of pulling off a cover of this standard. The only thing Radiohead are capable of covering is their own biodegradably chlorined swimming pool just in time to stop them drowning themselves through their depressing moaning, whinging bulshit.

  • @carehat That is true but i believe when Oasis cover any song they fucking hammer it and make it there own which in my eyes is better than the original.

  • @JordanStone12345 Fuckin GREAT cover indeed! Liam's en Noel's voice are PERFECT for this song! Epic!

  • @carehat

    Here here!

  • @carehat ummm love oasis but ... not the biggest band in the 90's..... um radiohead, smashing pumpkins, pearl jam, soundgarden and even nirvana were bigger- alanis morissette. and in terms of albums sales.... alanis and smashing pumpkins still hold records that nor nirvana and oasis touched... even till this day. oh... and this is a great cover btw.

  • @officialdjdirtyjake They were the biggest band of the 90's. They just were. And even if they weren't , they were definitely the best. Pearl Jam are crap, Smashing pumpkins are crap, nirvana are good at what they do (but Kurt Cobain is a dick), and radiohead are just plain boring.

  • @FretLegendSmithy sounds like somebody is a bit into the brothers... sorry but we'll just let records and sales.... speak for themselves.

  • @officialdjdirtyjake 1. yes. I am an oasis fan. Most of the people watching this video are.

    2. Do you know how many records oasis have sold? Neither do I. But it's a fucking lot.

    3. Radiohead are shit though.

    4. Pearl Jam are even worse.

  • @FretLegendSmithy again i like oasis... but i was just correcting your comment.. they werent the best... you could easily find their album sales online... of which have not been more then pearl jam and have not even come close to radiohead... you can bitch all you want but facts still remain facts. sorry mate.

  • @officialdjdirtyjake Record sales do not always depict how good a band is. Look how many records Justin Beiber has sold.

  • @officialdjdirtyjake Correction for you mate, Radiohead have sold 25 million, Pearl Jam 60 million while Oasis have sold 70 million (all worldwide). Oasis in my opinion, and on record sales (I'm not a fan of using record sales to compare who's better though, Bieber has probably sold more records than the Sex Pistols, but does that make him better?) are by far the better band, and the best band to ever walk this earth, but that's just the opinion (of me and most of the people on this video).

  • @geflad @geflad ... oh im sorry you must have used wikipedia.... and you should finish the sentence where they explain how much they sold..... and i quote "Radiohead's first six albums, released via EMI, had sold more than 25 million copies by 2007" that was 4 years ago mate.... of which they have released more albums. now ill admit that in 4 years i doubt radiohead to reach 70 million.. but mate .... you also use wiki for oasis... on oasis (OFFICIAL WEB SITE) quote : "...

  • @geflad whilst their combined album sales total close to, a remarkable 40 million sales worldwide." that two was of 2007 0r 6... point being they werent the best... your info sucked and MATE i was simply saying they weren't the best. and album sales of Micheal jackson reached over 500 million this past year.... as for justin beiber... though i dont like his music and im sure you dont.... somebody does - otherwise people wouldnt buy his album.

  • @officialdjdirtyjake I got mine from a statistics site - wikipedia says the same but we all know that's full of shit- to be fair Oasis made 11 albums (including 1 live and 2 compilations) and 'Morning Glory' sold 14million alone, but we'll agree to disagree on the sales figures. Yeah that's 500million in what- 40-odd years? Plus, he has much more of a worldwide-attraction due to the 'poppy' nature of his music, Oasis were much more rooted in British culture. Yeah I agree with the Bieber thing.

  • @carehat People are already covering Oasis, that's how great they fucking are!

  • your a cunt

  • go fuck your mom in the ass, wanker cunt

  • im just fucking your mum, she is shit but yelling like a fucking animal...:)

do me a favour cock sucker fagg: fuck your daddy while your brother is sucking your grandpa and die !!!

  • Ha your funny. And amazingly creative criticism....

  • liam's voice still was fucking great here

  • yes it was great... and it still is great.. i mean i went to an oasis concert in april this year and both noel´s and liam´s vocals where amazing

  • yeah, I was in two show here in brazil after this show there in venezuela, they was amazing live, but the liam's voice is very fucked.

  • former oasis drummer zak starkey actually tours with the who and is the son of richard starkey, aka ringo starr.

  • Not good mmm i think yr wrong its ace!!!!

  • This song will never age! Still sounds like it was write yesterday. Amazing..........

  • very good, is great, wow -exellent cover!

  • Of course they do you melon, they've done more in showing respect to the band than we will.

  • 0:29

    i think lol

  • That was amazing.

  • the bass was... u_u.

  • Andy was new to the bass at this point.

  • BRILLIANT, apart from the bass everything is perfect!

  • I would give up vital parts of my anatomy to have been there watchin this, or to find the original on DVD

  • Alan kicks ass !!!! don't you guys think he suits better with the whole oasis attitude rather than Zak? I'm not saying he's not good, but Alan... f*cking hell!!!
