It's only a rumour. Nowadays, what makes animes is really money, which is gained through fan-service. And i'm really proud and fond of I, My, Me! Strawberry Eggs, because there wasn't any fan-service, fillers, and tricks, just to make anime longer. Only great story, but 13 episodes. So we have: Big, well-known for-fans animes which go downfall like Naruto or Bleach, and animes which suffer from being unknowed, but still, better than any other. Often unfinished, which is sad, just like this one.
