  • Is this a newer version of the silly wizard's or is this the original one?

  • @sztrapacska73 'Monymusk Lads' is a traditional song from Aberdeenshire. Silly Wizard released their version in 1978, and this version is from 2003 - but the central instrumental is a modern piece called 'The Grappa Grove', composed by Eilidh Shaw (sister of Capercaillie's Donald Shaw).

  • @SilverWolfMoon Thank you. :)

  • @SilverWolfMoon

    actually, this is Jim Malcolm on vocals.

  • @tomconoboy Whoops!

    Darn it - I have every album and I do know, but when I answered that I must have confused this with my upload of 'Johnny O' Braidislee' from "Five".

  • Brilliant!

  • Who is the lead singer?

  • My favourite song of OBG is The Birkin Tree, but I think it can't be found on youtube. This one here is so so.

  • prefer 'pills of white mercury' to birken tree, tbh

  • Love Old Blind Dogs and this song is fantastic. Cuts right to the core of one's being!

    You have excellent taste in music:)

  • Thank you :)

    {picture a blushing wolfie!}

    OBD are one of my favourite bands, and, for me, it is founder-member {and only remaining original member} Johnny Hardie's fiddle playing that makes them stand out from the crowd...
