  • @songoku350 cool story bro

  • check out gunstarheros mix tape at shindiggaz bandcamp, and contra hardcorp

  • what channel is the show on?

  • Would it be possible for you to re-upload this to Youtube now that this site doesn't horribly compress everything to a low resolution?

6 Cans in the drinking game? Heh, that's what I usually end up at too.

"Magus from 12000 BC" is a bit of a spoiler. As far as anyone knows for most of the game, he is from 600AD.

  • @SchlossRitter a better version is available at our site, and it's not split up! Just go to retroware tv the show, and its in the season 1 section.

  • Shit the end of 1999 still was nothing like Chrono Trigger!

  • Still the greatest review on youtube, over 2 years later...

  • /SNIFFLE!!! MEMORIES!!! :D

  • 0:43 It's boy look's lice for Gohah, in from anime Dragon Ball Z

  • That sentence was a masterpiece.

  • I think its the best 16 bit RPG game

  • Favorite retrowaretv episode

  • lol final fantasy 8 hit me pretty good as well its the only reason i liked rpgs

  • you know what would be awesome? if developers like limited themselves to snes development tools made a game then ported. we need more ff6s and chrono triggers.

  • I'm so getting this for the DS when it comes out in Europe :D

  • i am playing through this game right now cool

  • chrono trigger was the first rpg i ever playied it my number one rpg of all time

  • chrono trigger>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FF7

FF7 is'nt even in the same league

  • Indeed!

  • why the heck do I have another post?

well anywho, the only RPG I enjoyed more is FF6

  • I think ur shows good but little hint get names right! Magus is pronounced Mage-us yes chrono trigger is a msterpeice to bad probabaly nearly every copy is in the possetion of someone ive only got it on computer, Chorno Cross is the PS1 version and is considered a letdown by many people from the origonal chrono trigger

  • It's actually pronounced "May-gus" with a hard 'g' as in "good".

Whats more Chrono Cross is the sequel to Chrono Trigger, not the psx port.

  • whoops i jsut looked at my comment.. yeah it is the sequel but from what ive seen the only relation at all is kid, surge coming from an egg... and some things frmo the past they see.... wtf is with all the dragons?

  • sorry Retroware, i only got to the part when you mention Nebuo; i didnt know you were going to mention Yasunori. Thanx for your research. My apologies. for the record, i've been a long time dedicated fan of Chrono Trigger since in came out when i was in 5th grade. my love for creating music comes from this video game

  • actually Retroware, Nubuo Umtasuo (I know i spelt his name wrong) helped with the composition of the music. The real credit goes to Yasunori Mitsuda, who composed most of the music

  • this is just a masterpiece worth crying for.. best game ive ever experienced!! ff7 doenst even come close, and i think thats my second favorite

  • Wow, i need to find this game somewhere, and i need to buy it as soon as possible

  • It's on the Super Nintendo, but there's also a Playstation 1 version on the Final Fantasy Chronicles collection!

  • Not to mention the upcoming DS version! XD

  • True, but I have a suspicion that they will delay the game into next year. A feat worthy of Square since it's just a simple port. If they're going to delay it, they might as well put the Anime cut-scenes in the game.

  • They ARE putting the anime cutscenes into the DS version! At least, that's according to all the gaming sites who tried the demo at E3.

  • AWESOME A UPCOMING DS VERSION COOL

  • DS version's out now, dude. LOOK FOR IT!

  • This has to be my favorite RPG, ever. Next would be FFVII.

  • You pronounce some characters' names differently from what I always did. Mainly "Magus" and "Marle". That's quite interesting.

  • Wow! Yes Chrono Trigger is a masterpiece, but you know Retro TV, you guys did what I fear did not exist. A retro gaming show that is not distasteful nor have bad humor, you guys are awesome. A gaming show that validates what gaming not making a joke out of it. I will follow you guys here, and let the dreadful crud such as the Angry Video Game nerd. You guys Rock, thanks for a true gaming show.

  • Thanks MagusX1 comments like these really mean a lot to us. Thank YOU so much for watching our show and we hope you will like our future episodes just as much. Thanks again.

  • I am glad, I hope to see more stuff from you guys. Not very many people take the gaming art seriously and its sad. As I said, I am tired of the angry video game nerd and such, and I enjoy your show. I was wondering though, will you guys do PC games? I would like to see a article on baldurs Gate 2?

  • Your point is what? I donot find the nerds earlier videos funny at all, its just him cussing at them...his newer videos ae much better but his old stuff I hate...its called a different sense of humor, obviously you think your opinion is fact...sad...

  • Ah Chrono Trigger the greatest RPG on the SNES

  • Ah, superb video, probably one of my favorite "J-RPGs", and not being released in Europe, I was first exposed to this game probably 4-6 years ago or something, when I played FF7 for the first time, and discovered Squaresoft

Apparently Yasunori Mitsuda was so passionate about the project that he became burnt out of all the work, that's when Nobuo Uematsu came in and finished up the work or something like that. :)
