For all those ppl who are quoting verses of Quran without verification pls GROW UP... You guys kno nothing about Islam or Quran. Just like someone has said earlier in this conversation that Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.W) had reproduced it with the help of Bible.. U need a break Mr. Ignorant.. Ppl in the lifetime of our beloved prophet used to say that he himself produced Quran then he gave open challange to all ppl around him to prove him wrong but no one cud prove him wrong. Islam is TRUTH of life
everyone has their opinion, every religion has right to claim what its written in their book. if it is different with your knowledge, ask the expert not someone that has hatred in their head and not just saying bad words. do open discussion, if you have your knowledge, show to them. proof that they are wrong. all of us are has same destination. if you claim that your path is right, show them and ask them to follow you, help them.
There were many great muslim scientists. It is clear to see that NONE of them used the Quran as a starting point.
The 'scientific miracles' of the Quran are all scientifically inaccurate, or nothing but plagiarised information already put forward by the ancient Greeks such as Aristotle.
@supermiro07 Why does god have to leave space for doubt? I thought the Quran was meant to be definite proof that he exists - so why has he left room for us to doubt his existence? Personally, I don't think he did - I just think he doesn't exist at all and that the Quran was written by humans.
The quran's view on embryology is not only scientifically wrong, but it is a merge of Aristotles', Hippocrates', and Galen's findings long before the 7th century.
It show the book was a copy of the bible. Now, this is science and didn't do a good job.If muahamed was born in south america, he would 'improve' inca religion and never will he come up with islam that's a version of the bible, period. Even buddha reformed hinduism because of his closeness to the religion. This is what humans do, reforming old ideas, nothing new.Now this is coming from my ggoodd, no one is coming to save anyone.
‘If there are certain passages in the bible that Mohammed in the Koran contended not to be right or true like Essa or Jesus didn’t do one thing or the other, understandable. But why would the Koran switch the armies of Saul (Surah 2; 249) with that of Gideon (Judges chapter 7 verses 4,5,6) concerning readiness of the army by luring them to drink from the river to see who would bury his face in it or one who would drink from his hand.
It show the book was a copy of the bible. Now, this is science
@Outgrowingfear You speak wisdom. It's good to know there are at least some people like you who see sense. It saddens me that so many ignorant and gullible people fall for the lies of Islam.
The book is so flawed it could have been written with less paper that the muslims didn't invent. And full of contractions. Only a blind believer will not see it. The quran also says the earth was FLAT, and that the, scientifically speaking that the sun and the moon always rush to theur resting place. If u write that in my science class, i will fail u forever. "The earth, how it was made flat? surah---88:17 and that allah was here b/4 he went to heavens, hahaha
BBC has lowered its standard. A good job will be to compare other cultures around the world. Maybe they were paid to push an agenda. D jew do that do. Cultural supremacy war is going on by egomaniac groups. Not that this will fool any thinking person, only d gullible and d fearful of a god that will burn unbelievers in hell will succum to lies and even will burn the original chosen people according to muhadmed.surah 59;3.Now that's a god who can see d future, allah made MISTAKE with JEWS.
Now this above statement was used in the bible too. But this is for muslims to think outside the box. The word THEY means the people muhadmed was talking to that didn't buy his version of creator. And he was not referring to anyone in the 21 st century or d generation that died, like 50 yrs after him. He thought it would happen soon in his life time, but we're still breathing. Lies to control people. wake up!
And has any known tribe or race in the entire world said that their god or whatever name they give it didn't create everything? This is ridiculous of islam, a borrowed religion, of a god behaving more like satan that they are supposed to run away from. Which society doesn't give help/alms to the less fortunate?
And the fact that scientists know how we got here is ridiculous as well, so when someone changes because of islam bbc & science, d person is a fool. Why Isaac newton, greatest scientist of d 20th century researched god with 30 bible, different kind, and went with the jewish god. That will make me a christian, don't u think? I look at the moral issue rather than the so-called pseudo-science.
Prophet also said any one that hates him will be childless..that's why jews are still having children, ha
Even jesus said that evil spirit caused mental illness. so ridiculous are these backward religions trying to hold on to their gullible and lack of understanding of what constitutes humanity. They feed on selfish human pride and foolish ego and yet say they are full of compassion, no, they are full of arrogance. Humanity sooner or later will triumph over heaven and hell gods.
And the newly found amazon tribe in brazil survive with islam...there u go. How do they do that? with their idol god?haha
so without the islam and muslims that allah revealed 1500 yrs ago and the people living way before like million years didn't know how to manage a disaese, they all just died out then allah thought about sending muhadmed to teach people how to cure themselves.
The egyptians built the pyramids and had science. How did they do all that without islam??? remember they were worshipping gods that can't talk.
What about machu pichu civilization and they had remedies for survival. They didn't die out. Even animals that have no souls according to muhadmed and allah use medicine to cure some of their illnesses. They even use poison to wade of or kill attackers...the muslims must have taught them. hahahahahahahah
Feeling compassion for all? Have muslims read the 8 principles of buddha who came 1000 yrs before islam? This is ridiculous infomation. Have compassion for all now but allah will burn all unbelievers later...seems compassion is a waste.
u have to give me instances in the koran and for yr info, i was born into an islamic family. D problem with u is that you don't have anything to offer. pls enlighten me. I have a koran and a moron can understand hate and persecution when she sees one. Tell me whether this is not extreme jealous by muhadmed.
Surah 33: 53
nor shall you ever wed his(Mohammed) wives after him; this would surely be a
in our religion we don't hv a religous authority that forced us to reject scientific facts to keep us religious, on the contrary our religion encouraged our innovation and exploration, we don't hv a conflict bet our religion and our belief.. read more you will know more.. this is a kinda of a friend advice.. best
With all do respect, let us hope that it is for the right reasons i.e. because people are reading about it and voluntarily embracing Islam, as opposed to mass reproducing and having children blindly follow a religion they cannot defend/honour. It seems that more and more "muslims" aren't very muslim at all, in their beliefs, attitudes or conduct. Rather, people who confuse culture for religion are passing on their ignorance to the younger generation. I'm actually quite worried.
Koran: a vain and futile attempt to clothe an otherwise empty philosophy in some semblance of scientific credibility by invoking itself as its own written authority!
Really I don't know why we keep listening to the misguided believers, WHO ARE BRAINWASHED to say the least, regarding science. We agree everything is in the Koran, but WHERE IS THE DINOSAURS in the koran? Whatever you say to the muslims to prove them wrong, they say ..oh in arabic it means this not that blah, blah, blah.
@Outgrowingfear If you don't know Arabic learn it and prove they are wrong but when u ask a native and don't respec his answer.. then u hv a prb with ur ignorance, not he has a prb with his own mother tongue!
You know, we are saying this and showing our book so people can see what in there, it's up to you to research and find the truth or not, we are not obliged by God to force or ask people to be muslims, we only politely call them to see, listen and open their eyes, if you don't wanna listen, u r free, but then pls keep ur ignorance to urself till u know or find the truth, don't keep arguing a thing that u r not totally aware of! This is atheists problem nowadays, they don't listen or shut up!
@mfire70limit Islam will be the fastest growing religion, if people like you stop making stupid comments like this which turn people against Islam...what are you doing to bring people to Islam? Are you studying medicine to help non-muslims recover who are unwell?? Are you studying teaching to educate non-muslim children in mathematics or science? Are you studying law to show people how fair and just islamic laws are to non-muslims?? What are you doing to welcome people in?
this vid, along with all the other false bullshit trying to connect a throwback desert ideology, with science, can be exposed for the nonsense that it is, it might fool the already brainwashed, but anyone else finds it both ridiculous, & false...shame on the biased broadcasting corp for making this crock....
@secula4eva This isnt dessert ideology. I dont care much for greeks science. when their theory was that europe africa and Asia were the only continents and the Earth was flat. When the Quran says the earth is outstretched like an ostrich egg. Greek science is based on theory while us Asians actually experimented it. While Europe was in the dark ages we were studying science math and engineering. Greeks did learn science but learning science is a part of Islam. I dont care if you support greeks.
I am not religious at all and I am very tired of reading every day about suicide bombers and extremism in Islam. A Pakistan minister was shot yesterday for speaking out again murdering a young mother for blasphemy. 3 US soldiers were shot dead yesterday in Germany by a Muslim. There were 3 different suicide bombing. All on one day. If it is peaceful why are so many Muslims not getting this message?
@WillShakespeare2007 did you know only 6% of terrorism is by Muslims the rest is by right wing left wing or separatists or racist groups. Islam is not about terrorism. Muslims are not the only ones who hate the West either.
@flysnake12 - There have been 56 people killed by terrorism in the UK in the last ten years - ALL Islamic. There have been a number of Islamic terror incidents in the US in the last ten years with over 3000 victims - ALL Islamic. Apart from ETA and the Real IRA I am not aware of one terrorist incident in Europe that is not linked to Islam. A quick look at the figures over the last ten year for Europe and the US and it is clear that Muslims are responsible for 99% or deaths and 6% is nonsense.
@flysnake12 - OK - justify that statistic. Take the last ten years in the UK and the US and list the number dead from non Islamic terror and then the number dead from Islamic terror and prove it is 6%. I challenge you to prove it or admit you are lying.
typical BBC (biased broad corp) drivel, science-quran/science-islam :-D
science & islam or the quran, those words shouldn t go in the same library never mind book....everything in this vein islam tries to claim for itself, A. either false or B.NONSENSE!
all ripped off from greek, christian & other sources, the way muslims try to make this connection is ridiculous, just look at the deluded fools, posting BS vids on this on the tube, both sad & laughable :-) in equal measure
@secula4eva All the sciences by greeks were done by theory all sciences in Islam are practical due to the experimentation not just theories. In the Quran it tells people to learn of scinces of everything. If you dont wanna watch "bs" dont get on youtube. If you appose Islam dont watch videos about it. But i hope your open minded enough to learn about it. But you sound ignorant. And you and the people who liked that comment are obviously just getting on youtube to hate on videos all the time.
Sad truth is, when Muslims go to Jannah, they'll be too busy saying eating, drinking, having sex, being full of bliss and all the kafirs burning in hell and all the angels doing their work, no one will bother learning anything, i mean, everyone will be healthy in paradise, who needs to learn..... or would we learn? Is Learning itself delightful, then that begs the question... Hmmm,,,,, and what about people in poverty in our world, they will be in Janna, therefore they never knew......
Islam and science yet muslims are today so far behind that its impossible that they ever even read the word science. Perhaps some handfull arabs were good but that dosent erease the fact that arabs are the most lazy and weak people on the earth. Muslims nations are in peril, where the rich muslim nations only use the poor muslim nation for their benefit.
many people do not know this but half or should i say more than half of NASAs research is based on Islamic texts. hate me or curse me for this but before u do research it for urself!
If it's any Religion that is accountable for Rewriting the Entire History of Mankind through Conquests, Domination and Subjugation and claiming all of the World's Inventions, Discoveries, Theories as it's own, it's Islam that would win the First Prize...
@forgottenmemories63 name one thing islam claimed wrongfully...name one country islam subjugated unwillingfully, name one theory or fact islam came with and turned out wrong...
talk is easy, but when u actually do research, u realize u have no idea what it is you're talking about
@humbletim10 point out a single wrong sentence in what has been said, point out a single scientific absurdity, point out THE REASON why its rubbish instead of just throwing out words like an illiterate
they should have rather called this show arabs and science.
since all the knowledge origins from centuries before islam and from other tribes like greeks or chinese maybe "boroughed science from other cultures".
and since the medicine of body-juices is completely bollocks they should have called it "stolen prescientific stuff".
so this show has neither to do with islam nore with science.
since an ancient childish ideology is anyway incompatible with science.
@gottbutter why dont u go read about the islamic golden age in wikipedia, read about islam and science, islam and cosmology, islam and biology, islam and philosophy, islam and medicine
@xm1332 i don`t have a problem with arabia & biology/science/whatfrickinever.
it`s like india & science not hinduism & science.
it`s renaissance europe & science not christianity.
it`s ancient greece science, not zeus & friends science.
islam doesn`t produce anything. just like these days leading scientists are atheists, i bet almost every scientist in history was sorta kind an unbeliever in stupid nonsense.
they were just labeled religious cause of the theocratical regime.
@gottbutter my uncle is the physics professor in university he is a muslim. My aunt is a biochemist and her husband is a physician. They come to prayer every friday and also are very involved with the Muslim community center. Me, Im a med. student.
@gottbutter peace on to you,Islam has a book which is called Quran and in this book you can find 100s scientifict facts. The science has discovered the circle of the earth, water circulation, biology, mathematics and etc recently, but these facts are in Quran from 1400 years ago so Islam has produced many things......
@gottbutter You should check this site quranandscience, just google it you will find it at the top, btw 100s of scientists have also reverted from Atheism to religion you can youtube them, when you touch science it turns you to atheist when you go deep into it, it turns you into a believer.
@gottbutter you're right...these discoveries were largely Arabic and Persian discoveries. Although the religion DOES have an effect on the culture of the people...but i completely understand what you're saying.
@ReturnToOrder it might effect society. but not the science.
the more secular & non religious & non spiritual &non-dogmatic & what you have scientists became the bigger were the scientific breakthroughs.
but sure, religion has am effect on culture. but what doesn`t ?! I´m pretty sure islam wasn`t the only game in town in the old islamic empire. just like ye had a lot of parallel cults & hobbies among european, chinese & japanese folk & scientists.
@gottbutter I agree with you that the more secular a society grows the bigger its breakthroughs become...this happened in Arab society also, however this also saw a lowering in the standards of moral law and society eventually fell apart as well as being annihilated militarily by cengis khan.
@ReturnToOrder that depends on how you define "lowering in the standards of moral law ".
there was never a breakthrough like in the industrial era of europe in all history. & I don`t think like that for any stupid patriotic reasons. I`m loyal to noone & nothing. maybe to freedom of speech.
the greeks had their chance & failed because of superstitious bullying. how the chinese fucked it up so many times is beyond my imagination.
@ReturnToOrder but since yer a muslim ,i assume you believe that islam is the peak of civilisatory achievment. let`s assume further that it is the most perfect thing ever. well then it`s kinda funny how it breaks down so easily. just a bit of immorality & a foreign invading country is enough to break down the best system a perfect god could come up with?
just 50 years of receiving the ultimate knowledge, muslims should have been living on mars.
@gottbutter Yes the muslim could live in Alpha century probably by now, but that's not the point, the point is The God gave choice to Human to follow His direction or not to follow , that's why you can see how many idiotic and bad Arab people witnessed as Muslim but they were just the pretender (Munafiqun). Nevertheless all of that dose not change the fact that was not Muhammad that invented the Qur'an but it was send by the creator it self,
@Mikodono1 forgot to my last argument with a sarcasm thingy.
you can`t even make a paper-hat with that so called knowledge in yer quran.
that`s a book a frickin 5 year old would have written, if he had been asked to describe the world.
there are just to possibilities here. or this book realy reflects the intelect of yer god ( in that case he`s obviously to dull to create anything - therefore he doesn`t exist)
@gottbutter yeah you are right "you can't even make a paper hat with that so called knowledge in yer quran" for people like you who don't understand science it must be hard, i am truly sorry for you, despite that most of the scientist in the world has admitted the scientific fact that written in Quran, and i remind you this is not a Science book this is a word of God, that has been proved with the scientific fact on present science.
@Mikodono1 nr 1. i`m a dr & i`ve been for 3 years in medical research. i got science plenty up me arse.
so i know a couple of things, especially if it comes to embrology, wich you people claim to have in yer book.
what`s written in the quran about it is hogwash. it`s wannabe embryology for cavemen.
first you claim it to be full of science & seconds later ye say it ain`t no science book. ye have to make up yer mind. but i`ll make it easier for you. it`s the word of a retarded god.
@Mikodono1 an allmighty brain-amputee. telling his folks that hail is originating from a mountain.
science might not lead to atheism, but for sure it leads to anti-abrahamic-monotheism.
if yer book would realy lead to smth, scientists would use it to for new discoveries. fuck, i would use it.
just do it. make a brand new discovery & show me. especially the part where you draw yer conlusions from the quran & how you made the tie. find me the cure for ball-cancer.
@gottbutter oooh Mr doctor, i guest you should learn again from the basic school, i thing all the people around the world will not believe your title if you just blabbering. listen again Mr. doctor the Qur'an is not a science book its a word of God that dose not contradicted with the scientific fact, like other religion that have failed to proved, like the example you said above about embryology, its ( the verse in Quran ))very clearly describe all the human embryology stage in the womb.
@gottbutter so if you mr doctor find some advancement in science which is provable in scientific fact, it will not contradict with the Quran, and the God proved that it was send to a man who unable to read nor write and it was send 1400 years ago where there is no such advancement in science.
@ReturnToOrder How could possible Human at that time can explain such an advance science, and remember the Arab was advance in Astronomy n Science hundred years after the revelation of the Qur'an trough the Rome civilization not the scientific fact that founded today from Qur'an. The blame for why Muslim became like now should be pointed to the people not to the God.
@mfire70limit Fatest growing religion because the demographics not the true faith of religion. More kidsssssssssss more kidssssssssssssssssssss and more
@mfire70limit - exactly...religion...nothing more than human accomplishment, and yet, the greatest selling book, year in and year out year after year, is The Holy Bible; not to mention, the masses will always gravitate to the popular, and not the truth. Imagine, 6236 lines, 1 man, and no guarantee to secure the eternal destination of your soul; not to mention, 76 topics from same man (Muhammad), who claims himself a prophet when Quran (a book he invented) identifies him as being an apostle
@kevinmelvillesimpson Asalam o Alaikum bro, if you think that Muhammed (PBUH) created the Quran himself then you are claiming that he was the most genius person in the world. living in such an undeveloped era and in the desert area where no scientific knowledge could reach properly, how could a person having no scientific knowledge can created such master piece. Quran clearly mentions Big Bang, (christian priest do not agree with Big Bang but we do), embryology, sea barriers, ozone etc...
@kevinmelvillesimpson.... bro read the Quran and the bibile not as a christain but just as a sensible human being, because when you stick to your religion only you will only pick the point which are in favour of it, which will put a limit to your intellect and creativity. Without research properly and without read the religious scriptures of islam and christainity, any statement you will can be used against you, as Islam teaches that HAVING HALF KNOWLEDGE IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN A LIE.
Its follish to even say that arabs are founders of science and education, The indus valley and the 8 located Buddhists universities around China and India prove that there was no jahiliya and people were learning.
The story of a flying trip through seven heavens; The Houries of paradise; Azazil and other spirits coming up from Hades ; The "light" of Muhammad; The bridge of Sirat; Paradise with its wine, women, and song, and The king of death, are all pre-Islamic stories, not to mention, no matter how it's debated, so is 'Allah'...a pre-Islamic deity (moon god). Muhammad's uncle and father were named after 'Allah'. No disrespect, but the Quran if full of holes--and not one hole in the Holy Bible.
@noeljblanco - my friend, I have challenged Muslims for the past few years, to go live on international television with a major media, to show me one piece of evidence to prove 'ONE' contradiction in the Holy Bible, and suddenly, tongues are no longer flapping. I mean no disrespect, however, when I see millions following a man-made religion that is full of holes (pre-Islamic everything), with majority Muslims coming from a different opinion and stand, it saddens me deeply; your soul is at risk.
@kevinmelvillesimpson I will recommend you my friend just try to read Qur'an if you are a true follower of Jesus then you will be amazed how miraculously it was created, from the creation of the universe, embryology and more scientific discoveries.
@noeljblanco - as a researcher, the Quran need only be briefed to see it is no different than any other religious, man-made effort: it is full of holes, it's story/origin is constantly being changed (an attempt to support everything about its pre-Islamic foundation), and like the book of Mormon, is nothing more than the figment of its originators (Muhammad), imagination. You are of course entitled to follow what you see as truth; but truth at the risk of earning paradise is nothing more than man
@vendalsavage all the mistakes it makes about embryology and plate tectonics are the same mistakes made by the best philosophers of the time. everything they got wrong we now know to be wrong.
the qur'an doesnt even mention the ovum or spermatozoon. it doesnt even mention germ theory, or evolutionary theory. it makes the same mistakes as the bible in that respect.
@volound dude u expect bible and koran to be book of science or book of religion? its not like every scientific theory gunna be in these holy books. but i have read the quran and couple of verses of the bible. embryology & spermatozoon are both well covered in the koran and those didnt seem wrong to me. evolution of the universe and the first stages creation of life are also given . though states lot of other stuffs about earth, havent found anything about the continental plates.
@vendalsavage i really dont think koran copied these data from the early works of philosophers if it did it would have made the mistake of saying that sun revolves around the earth & it also avoids other misconcepts abt the creation of universe held by the great minds at that time. dispute among scientists & church occurred due to incorrect concepts found in bible. u mentioned abt the mistakes found in koran, would u clearly state what are those particular mistakes, so that i can luk them up.
@vendalsavage it really is not worth my time, there are 1.5 billion muslims. i dont have the time to show them all individually that the qur'an is wrong.
try a simple google search. google "scientific errors in the qur'an" or something along those lines. i cant be bothered doing it for you.
@volound "scientific errors in the qur'an" well bro i think u haven't seen a debate on dis topic between dr.zakir naik and dr. william campbell so its just a waste of time to search on google to find errors ven d video is available on utube...so just check out d debate....peace
@vendalsavage no, they are not mentioned in the qur'an. the qur'an spends dozens of verses explaining the origin of life, and not once does it mention the ovum or spermatozoon. ive read 2 different intepretations and the qur'an doesnt mention anything about microscopic life, including the ovum, spermatozoon etc.
the account given for the evolution of the universe in the qur'an is wrong, or at least, very very very badly explained with many inaccuracies and bad metaphors.
@mdr22315 Still you're an idiot. You are pushing aside the facts that I have laid out earlier. That is, there is a sifting between what is true and what is false. There are not 7 versions of the quran as you think they are. The hadeeths you gave don't have the required backing as to whether or not they were fabricated, weak, good, strong in standing etc. You simply quote them as if they're ultimate truths. This is why we have scholars to critique them.
@mfire70limit Ding bat there are 7 billion people on this planet and you have 1.5 billion at most. There are 16,000 converts to Christianity a day in the Sudan alone not to mention Atheism is growing faster than Islam. Read a book sometime dummy.
@mdr22315 well except for the part where the Greeks were right about epilepsy in the brain and Islamics went with demonic possession as the cause. Classic.
@14goldmedals It is one thing to find the Qur'an repeating the same embryological ideas as those described originally by the ancient Greeks, but is another thing for the Muslims to deny it came from Galen. Given that so much of what the Qur'an says is based upon Galen's beliefs, it is particularly significant that some 26 books of his work were translated into Syriac as early as the sixth century AD by Sergius of Resh' Aina (Ra's al-Ain), 100 years before the Quran was written.
@mdr22315 - Muslims never claimed ownership of the Greek knowledge they preserved and they added a lot to it. So, no Muslims didn't "Plagiarize" anything, unless you believe the entire world today is plagiarizing the knowledge of all the previous nations that came before us which we are using today to advance modern science and knowledge.
Qur'an agrees with Galen Sura 76:2, "We created man from a drop of mingled sperm."Quranic Sura 22:5 reflects this when it says, "... Then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed. Qur'an agrees with this in Sura 23:14 where it says, "And we clothed the bones (with) meat."
@mdr22315 Both the Quran and Galen got it wrong in the exact same way. Odd? Nope, look up Aristotle & Galen and the medical schools in Saudi at the time.
@mdr22315 - Actually my friend no; the Quran didn't get it wrong, I'll send you an article that explains all this. Just let me dust off my old bookmarks.
@mdr22315 - Good, here one such word you could look at "Aalaqa" which is translated as a clot of blood, also means leech. Which is what the fetus at that stage looks like and acts like, sticking to the uterus.
@psychlopes1976 (aalaqa) means a clot & a leech-like substance.
Embryological development, Galen taught the embryo developed in stages. He wrote, the first is,.. the form of the semen prevails. next stage is "when it has been filled with blood,& unshaped foetus. Quran 22:5 a morsel of flesh, partly unformed) flesh to grow on around all bones. Quran 23:14 we clothed the bones (with) meat. fourth and final period (puer or child - verse 9) the stage when all parts limbs have been differentiated.
@mdr22315 - No, not clot & a leech like substance. it's one or the other, the translator was probably trying to convey both meanings because of uncertainty. So with regards to THAT stage, aside from the others. Do you agree that "leech-like entity or body" doesn't contradict science. I'll come to the other stages one at a time.
@mdr22315 - Note that although I do believe the Quran to have miraculous data, this is not what I'm arguing here, of course one can argue that whatever information the Quran contains could have been borrowed from previous civilizations and writings, what I'm trying to establish here is that the Quran isn't necessarily in contradiction with science, but that translations make it appear to be so.
@psychlopes1976 If the Quran were meant as a science book it would state this in the Quran itself. Spiritual books are never meant as science books as they are for spiritual enlightenment. The Quran and Galen both were wrong regarding embryology. The Quran also stated that flesh grows around the bones. This indicates the bones are formed first which is not the case. Muscles start growth and flex in movement before the bone forms within them. So, in actuality the muscle is formed before the bones
@mdr22315 So although Glen says blood & unshaped fetus for the second stage, one translation might seem to be in agreement with that, but the other is actually in agreement with the scientifically proven developmental stage of the embryo. So for that stage at least, we have reasonable doubt.
@psychlopes1976 The fact that Galen had pointed this out long before the Quran was written and Arabs had access to these books negates they are miracles within the Quran. If these things were not known before the Quran, then yes it would be a miracle. But this is not the case.
@mdr22315 - Again, I'm afraid you're missing my point, I said clearly that I'm not here defending this information being miraculous. I'm here trying to show that it is indeed not in conflict with science (please refer to my previous comments). But before we move on to the other stages I want from you to knowledge the first point I made, namely that taking "Alaqa" to mean leech for that specific stage is not in contradiction with science. After which I'll move on to the next stages.
@mdr22315 - What you get wrong my friend, is that you are reading an English translation of the Quran, while the original words in Arabic have various meanings, like the Quran uses "one" word, for what is translated "a drop of mingled sperm" and the same goes for "a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed" etc.
@psychlopes1976 No. It is correct. I have an Arabic tutor and Arabic friends so I know what it says in Arabic. The Quran's translations into English are watered down but the meaning of this is quite clear. I challenge you to prove otherwise with evidence from the Quran itself.
@mdr22315 - I gave you one example, before I knock your socks off with more, go consult your good friends and ask them. Your friends wouldn't be Christian Arabs, would they by any chance?.
@psychlopes1976 I have read it all & the Quran & Galen are both wrong. The bones do not form before the flesh as described in the Quran & by Galen. Mo knew the embryological stages of the Greek physicians.
1 They believed that the male sperm
2 mixed with the female semen and menstrual blood to cause it to clot and this became the baby.
3 They believed there was a time when the fetal lump was "formed and unformed
@psychlopes1976 [Q2:259] ...Look further at the bones, how We bring them together and clothe them with flesh." [Q22:5]..from a drop, a sperm-drop, then from a clot, congealed blood, then from a [little] lump of flesh (mudgha), a piece of flesh, the size of what one would [be able to] chew (mā yumdagh), partly formed, shaped, complete in form, and partly unformed, that is, uncomplete in form,
All of this was already known hundreds of years before Mohammad and the Quran. The Quran & Galen wrong.
@mdr22315 I believe your side of this discussion. Muslims have only one defence once cornered. It's always the "lost in translation" defence. I'm certain that if we had a certified translator that was raised in the Arab world and did nothing but study languages from 6 years old they would still claim this defence. The Quran is a severely flawed book.
@14goldmedals I do have friends who are Arabic that do translate the Quran for me when I have difficulty. I also have a Arabic tutor that is teaching me the language. You are correct that the Quran is seriously flawed especially in the ways of science. I only have a 500 word block to list these within so it is impossible to do so. The Quran states over and over the Earth is flat. The Quran states the sky is held up with pillars and that stars are lamps to throw at Satan.
Why not speak about the Bible that curses and mocks the Prophets and Messengers? Or the flaw that God can have a son or that God is 3 in 1?
There is something universal in translation. That is: Justice will never be served to the original language. It will either over or under emphasize words. Some words don't even have meanings in other languages.
@ScopedOUT2 THE GOAT THAT EATS UP THE QURAN VERSEs
The verses of the Quran written on papyri were kept in the house of Aisha, the Prophets wife. A hungry goat that had access ate them. An account of this may be read in the books of Ibn Majas Nikah; Hanbal. The verses that had been completed and learned by heart vanish? Ibn Kutayba uses the following introductory remark before tackling the problem: The goat is a holy animal. Then he continues enumerating the merits of this holy goat.
@ScopedOUT2 Prove me one with evidence idiot. I challenge you to. When someone presents evidence as proof it is up to others to disprove this evidence if they disagree. Using LOL and calling me a liar is not refutable evidence moron. My statement and accusation stand unchallenged.
@mdr22315 If you claim to have evidence, give us the book title, the author, date of print and where to find the book. Using statements as evidence is not evidence you Moron. Your statements and accusations stand challenged.
"When the verses "Rajm" [Stoning] and ayah "Rezah Kabir" descended, they were written on a piece of paper and kept under my pillow. Following the demise of Prophet Muhammad (S) a goat ate the pieces of paper while we were mourning.
1. Sunan Ibne Majah, Volume 2, Page 39, Published Karachi.
2. Musnad Imam Ahmad, Volume 6, Page 269, Published Beirut.
3. Taweel Mukhtalif Al Hadees, Page 310, Published Beirut
@mdr22315 It still doesn't prove they're standing. Hadeeth scholars are not infalliable and some did manage to collect fabricated narrations. This is why each hadeeth scholar is required to critique all narrations, even the ones checked by previous scholars. You still stand refuted since my religion has a system to check evidences while all you do is follow wives tales.
@ScopedOUT2 BTW...there are 215 verses missing that the goat ate. I have documentation from your own Imam admitting this. Good luck on finding any evidence to prove me and your Scholars wrong.
@mdr22315 There is nothing there that exists as you say, so you have been refuted.
Moreover, you can't come from outside Islam without knowing anything and trying to critique it.
At least Islam has proof from which all evidence is derived- a chain of narrators. All of whom are critiqued as to their honesty, memory, and if the news could have reached them. From this science, we sort false, weak, and strong narrations. The bible doesn't have that, nor does any standing scientific committee!
@ScopedOUT2 Those chain of narrators ended up with 13 different versions of Qurans which were whittled down to 7 then they were whittled down to 3 and one of the guys was murdered and his Quran burned. I guess I have to post this story for you too since you do not know how to use google to find history books on line. Word of mouth is a pee poor way of keeping track of anything...just like old wives tales.
@psychlopes1976 528 AD the Ghassan controlled the Syrian desert to the outskirts of Yathrib (Medina). Syriac (a form of Aramaic, related to Arabic) was their official language. 463 AD, the Jews translated the Torah & Old Testament from Hebrew into Syriac. (The British Museum has a copy) The Ghassan who were Christians who didn't know Hebrew. Sergius al-ras Ayni, translated Greek into Syriac (Aramaic), works on medicine & 26 books of Galen's into Syriac. The Ghassan Tribe who influenced Medina.
@mdr22315 - What you wrote contributes nothing to the discussion, We're supposedly discussing scientific mistakes in the Quran. I told you you're reading an inaccurate translation, and that knowing Arabic solves those discrepancies. I gave you an example, The word "Alaqa" that it also means leech indicating the status of the fetus as being leech-shaped and stuck to the uterus to draw neutrinos from it. Copy pasting things from anti-ISlamic sites "again" doesn't help refute what I said.
@psychlopes1976 The information is sound. Refute it if you have evidence to do so...otherwise it is you contributing nothing to the discussion. Your opinion alone does what exactly? You need evidence to prove mine wrong. Provide it. This is how we flesh out truth. I am interested in truth and not opinions.
@mdr22315 - I just gave you evidence, and I'm waiting on you to go and check it with your Arab friends, I gave you no "opinions". Respond to what I said first, refute it if you can then, then I'll move on to the next stage. If you don't want to do so then please point out how what I said was an "opinion" as opposed to information that can be verified and validated.
@mdr22315 - I'm going through the stages one by one, now if I'm not mistaking your exception with what the Quran says starts with stage two, "blood clot". My evidence is that that is just one possible translation of the word used in the Quran which is "Alaqa" (علقة) - but the word also means "and more commonly even" a leech. Which in that stage of the fetus development it looks like a leech in shape and it acts like it by sticking to the uterus absorbing nutrients from it.
@psychlopes1976 Galen was born in 131 AD. Knowledge of his book, De Semine, by Greek manuscripts & Arabic copies from the same translation made in about 840 AD. This is the same as Quran.
Galen: next stage is "when it has been filled with blood, & heart, brain & liver are (still) unarticulated & unshaped ... this is the period ... that Hippocrates (called) foetus."
Quranic Sura 22:5 YUSUFALI: .., then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed,
( Your Lord said to the angels, "I am going to create a human being out of clay. When I have formed him and breathed My Spirit into him, fall down in prostration to him!") (Quran 38:71-72)

Just like someone has said earlier in this conversation that Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.W) had reproduced it with the help of Bible.. U need a break Mr. Ignorant.. Ppl in the lifetime of our beloved prophet used to say that he himself produced Quran then he gave open challange to all ppl around him to prove him wrong but no one cud prove him wrong. everyone has their opinion, every religion has right to claim what its written in their book. if it is different with your knowledge, ask the expert not someone that has hatred in their head and not just saying bad words. do open discussion, if you have your knowledge, show to them. proof that they are wrong. all of us are has same destination. if you claim that your path is right, show them and ask them to follow you, help them.

A perfect god leaves no room for doubt.

"They think the Day of Judgment is far off:

Now this above statement was used in the bible too. But this is for muslims to think outside the box. The word THEY means the people muhadmed was talking to that didn't buy his version of creator. And he was not referring to anyone in the 21 st century or d generation that died, like 50 yrs after him. He thought it would happen soon in his life time, but we're still breathing. Lies to control people. wake up!

so without the islam and muslims that allah revealed 1500 yrs ago and the people living way before like million years didn't know how to manage a disaese, they all just died out then allah thought about sending muhadmed to teach people how to cure themselves.
The egyptians built the pyramids and had science. How did they do all that without islam??? remember they were worshipping gods that can't talk.

@flysnake12 - There have been 56 people killed by terrorism in the UK in the last ten years - ALL Islamic. since all the knowledge origins from centuries before islam and from other tribes like greeks or chinese maybe "boroughed science from other cultures".
and since the medicine of body-juices is completely bollocks they should have called it "stolen prescientific stuff".
so this show has neither to do with islam nore with science.
since an ancient childish ideology is anyway incompatible with science.

there are just to possibilities here. or this book realy reflects the intelect of yer god ( in that case he`s obviously to dull to create anything - therefore he doesn`t exist)
or he`s fuckin with ye
gottbutter 7 months ago
@gottbutter yeah you are right "you can't even make a paper hat with that so called knowledge in yer quran" for people like you who don't understand science it must be hard, i am truly sorry for you, despite that most of the scientist in the world has admitted the scientific fact that written in Quran, and i remind you this is not a Science book this is a word of God, that has been proved with the scientific fact on present science.
Mikodono1 6 months ago
@Mikodono1 nr 1. i`m a dr & i`ve been for 3 years in medical research. i got science plenty up me arse.
so i know a couple of things, especially if it comes to embrology, wich you people claim to have in yer book.
what`s written in the quran about it is hogwash. it`s wannabe embryology for cavemen.
first you claim it to be full of science & seconds later ye say it ain`t no science book. ye have to make up yer mind. but i`ll make it easier for you. it`s the word of a retarded god.
gottbutter 6 months ago

Mikodono1 6 months ago
@gottbutter so if you mr doctor find some advancement in science which is provable in scientific fact, it will not contradict with the Quran, and the God proved that it was send to a man who unable to read nor write and it was send 1400 years ago where there is no such advancement in science.

@mfire70limit - exactly...religion...nothing more than human accomplishment, and yet, the greatest selling book, year in and year out year after year, is The Holy Bible; not to mention, the masses will always gravitate to the popular, and not the truth. Imagine, 6236 lines, 1 man, and no guarantee to secure the eternal destination of your soul; not to mention, 76 topics from same man (Muhammad), who claims himself a prophet when Quran (a book he invented) identifies him as being an apostle
kevinmelvillesimpson 1 year ago
@kevinmelvillesimpson Asalam o Alaikum bro, if you think that Muhammed (PBUH) created the Quran himself then you are claiming that he was the most genius person in the world. living in such an undeveloped era and in the desert area where no scientific knowledge could reach properly, how could a person having no scientific knowledge can created such master piece. Quran clearly mentions Big Bang, (christian priest do not agree with Big Bang but we do), embryology, sea barriers, ozone etc...
alinoorali 1 year ago
@kevinmelvillesimpson.... bro read the Quran and the bibile not as a christain but just as a sensible human being, because when you stick to your religion only you will only pick the point which are in favour of it, which will put a limit to your intellect and creativity. Without research properly and without read the religious scriptures of islam and christainity, any statement you will can be used against you, as Islam teaches that HAVING HALF KNOWLEDGE IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN A LIE.

I mean no disrespect, however, when I see millions following a man-made religion that is full of holes (pre-Islamic everything), with majority Muslims coming from a different opinion and stand, it saddens me deeply; your soul is at risk.
kevinmelvillesimpson 1 year ago
@kevinmelvillesimpson I will recommend you my friend just try to read Qur'an if you are a true follower of Jesus then you will be amazed how miraculously it was created, from the creation of the universe, embryology and more scientific discoveries.
noeljblanco 1 year ago
@noeljblanco - as a researcher, the Quran need only be briefed to see it is no different than any other religious, man-made effort: it is full of holes, it's story/origin is constantly being changed (an attempt to support everything about its pre-Islamic foundation), and like the book of Mormon, is nothing more than the figment of its originators (Muhammad), imagination. You are of course entitled to follow what you see as truth; but truth at the risk of earning paradise is nothing more than man

its funny how much the qur'an borrows from greek philosophers like aristotle and plato, and how much stuff it GETS WRONG that it borrowed.
volound 1 year ago
@volound would you care to elaborate what are the stuffs that end up in koran from the discoveries of greek philosophers.
vendalsavage 1 year ago
@vendalsavage all the mistakes it makes about embryology and plate tectonics are the same mistakes made by the best philosophers of the time. everything they got wrong we now know to be wrong.
the qur'an doesnt even mention the ovum or spermatozoon. it doesnt even mention germ theory, or evolutionary theory. it makes the same mistakes as the bible in that respect.
volound 1 year ago
@volound dude u expect bible and koran to be book of science or book of religion? its not like every scientific theory gunna be in these holy books. but i have read the quran and couple of verses of the bible. embryology & spermatozoon are both well covered in the koran and those didnt seem wrong to me. evolution of the universe and the first stages creation of life are also given . though states lot of other stuffs about earth, havent found anything about the continental plates.
vendalsavage 1 year ago
@vendalsavage i really dont think koran copied these data from the early works of philosophers if it did it would have made the mistake of saying that sun revolves around the earth & it also avoids other misconcepts abt the creation of universe held by the great minds at that time. dispute among scientists & church occurred due to incorrect concepts found in bible. u mentioned abt the mistakes found in koran, would u clearly state what are those particular mistakes, so that i can luk them up.

ScopedOUT2 1 year ago

mdr22315 1 year ago
@mdr22315 well except for the part where the Greeks were right about epilepsy in the brain and Islamics went with demonic possession as the cause. Classic.
14goldmedals 1 year ago
@14goldmedals It is one thing to find the Qur'an repeating the same embryological ideas as those described originally by the ancient Greeks, but is another thing for the Muslims to deny it came from Galen. Given that so much of what the Qur'an says is based upon Galen's beliefs, it is particularly significant that some 26 books of his work were translated into Syriac as early as the sixth century AD by Sergius of Resh' Aina (Ra's al-Ain), 100 years before the Quran was written.
mdr22315 1 year ago
@mdr22315 - Muslims never claimed ownership of the Greek knowledge they preserved and they added a lot to it. So, no Muslims didn't "Plagiarize" anything, unless you believe the entire world today is plagiarizing the knowledge of all the previous nations that came before us which we are using today to advance modern science and knowledge.

@psychlopes1976 GALEN'S STAGES OF PRENATAL DEVELOPMENT
STAGE 1. The two semens
STAGE 1b. plus menstrual blood
STAGE 2. unshaped flesh
STAGE 3. bones
STAGE 3b. flesh grows on and around the bones
Qur'an agrees with Galen Sura 76:2, "We created man from a drop of mingled sperm."Quranic Sura 22:5 reflects this when it says, "... Then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed. Qur'an agrees with this in Sura 23:14 where it says, "And we clothed the bones (with) meat."
mdr22315 1 year ago
@mdr22315 Both the Quran and Galen got it wrong in the exact same way. Odd? Nope, look up Aristotle & Galen and the medical schools in Saudi at the time.

@psychlopes1976 Please do. I am studying Arabic and my tutor would love some original work for me to study.
mdr22315 1 year ago
@mdr22315 - Good, here one such word you could look at "Aalaqa" which is translated as a clot of blood, also means leech. Which is what the fetus at that stage looks like and acts like, sticking to the uterus.
psychlopes1976 1 year ago
@psychlopes1976 (aalaqa) means a clot & a leech-like substance.
Quran 23:14 we clothed the bones (with) meat. fourth and final period (puer or child - verse 9) the stage when all parts limbs have been differentiated.
mdr22315 1 year ago
@mdr22315 - No, not clot & a leech like substance. it's one or the other, the translator was probably trying to convey both meanings because of uncertainty. So with regards to THAT stage, aside from the others. Do you agree that "leech-like entity or body" doesn't contradict science. I'll come to the other stages one at a time.
psychlopes1976 1 year ago
@mdr22315 - Note that although I do believe the Quran to have miraculous data, this is not what I'm arguing here, of course one can argue that whatever information the Quran contains could have been borrowed from previous civilizations and writings, what I'm trying to establish here is that the Quran isn't necessarily in contradiction with science, but that translations make it appear to be so.
psychlopes1976 1 year ago
@psychlopes1976 If the Quran were meant as a science book it would state this in the Quran itself. Spiritual books are never meant as science books as they are for spiritual enlightenment. The Quran and Galen both were wrong regarding embryology. The Quran also stated that flesh grows around the bones. This indicates the bones are formed first which is not the case. Muscles start growth and flex in movement before the bone forms within them. So, in actuality the muscle is formed before the bones
mdr22315 1 year ago
@mdr22315 So although Glen says blood & unshaped fetus for the second stage, one translation might seem to be in agreement with that, but the other is actually in agreement with the scientifically proven developmental stage of the embryo. So for that stage at least, we have reasonable doubt.
psychlopes1976 1 year ago
@psychlopes1976 The fact that Galen had pointed this out long before the Quran was written and Arabs had access to these books negates they are miracles within the Quran. If these things were not known before the Quran, then yes it would be a miracle. But this is not the case.
mdr22315 1 year ago
@mdr22315 - Again, I'm afraid you're missing my point, I said clearly that I'm not here defending this information being miraculous. I'm here trying to show that it is indeed not in conflict with science (please refer to my previous comments). But before we move on to the other stages I want from you to knowledge the first point I made, namely that taking "Alaqa" to mean leech for that specific stage is not in contradiction with science. After which I'll move on to the next stages.
psychlopes1976 1 year ago
@mdr22315 - What you get wrong my friend, is that you are reading an English translation of the Quran, while the original words in Arabic have various meanings, like the Quran uses "one" word, for what is translated "a drop of mingled sperm" and the same goes for "a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed" etc.
psychlopes1976 1 year ago
@psychlopes1976 No. It is correct. I have an Arabic tutor and Arabic friends so I know what it says in Arabic. The Quran's translations into English are watered down but the meaning of this is quite clear. I challenge you to prove otherwise with evidence from the Quran itself.
mdr22315 1 year ago
@mdr22315 - I gave you one example, before I knock your socks off with more, go consult your good friends and ask them. Your friends wouldn't be Christian Arabs, would they by any chance?.
psychlopes1976 1 year ago
@psychlopes1976 I have read it all & the Quran & Galen are both wrong. The bones do not form before the flesh as described in the Quran & by Galen. Mo knew the embryological stages of the Greek physicians.
1 They believed that the male sperm
2 mixed with the female semen and menstrual blood to cause it to clot and this became the baby.
3 They believed there was a time when the fetal lump was "formed and unformed
4 They believed the lump became bones
5 which were then covered with muscles
mdr22315 1 year ago
@psychlopes1976 [Q2:259] ...Look further at the bones, how We bring them together and clothe them with flesh." [Q22:5]..from a drop, a sperm-drop, then from a clot, congealed blood, then from a [little] lump of flesh (mudgha), a piece of flesh, the size of what one would [be able to] chew (mā yumdagh), partly formed, shaped, complete in form, and partly unformed, that is, uncomplete in form,
All of this was already known hundreds of years before Mohammad and the Quran. The Quran & Galen wrong.
mdr22315 1 year ago
@mdr22315 I believe your side of this discussion. Muslims have only one defence once cornered. It's always the "lost in translation" defence. I'm certain that if we had a certified translator that was raised in the Arab world and did nothing but study languages from 6 years old they would still claim this defence. The Quran is a severely flawed book.
14goldmedals 1 year ago
@14goldmedals I do have friends who are Arabic that do translate the Quran for me when I have difficulty. I also have a Arabic tutor that is teaching me the language. You are correct that the Quran is seriously flawed especially in the ways of science. I only have a 500 word block to list these within so it is impossible to do so. The Quran states over and over the Earth is flat. The Quran states the sky is held up with pillars and that stars are lamps to throw at Satan.

Then he continues enumerating the merits of this holy goat.

mdr22315 1 year ago
@mdr22315 There is nothing there that exists as you say, so you have been refuted.
Moreover, you can't come from outside Islam without knowing anything and trying to critique it.
At least Islam has proof from which all evidence is derived- a chain of narrators. All of whom are critiqued as to their honesty, memory, and if the news could have reached them. From this science, we sort false, weak, and strong narrations. The bible doesn't have that, nor does any standing scientific committee!

mdr22315 1 year ago
@mdr22315 - What you wrote contributes nothing to the discussion, We're supposedly discussing scientific mistakes in the Quran. I told you you're reading an inaccurate translation, and that knowing Arabic solves those discrepancies. I gave you an example, The word "Alaqa" that it also means leech indicating the status of the fetus as being leech-shaped and stuck to the uterus to draw neutrinos from it. Copy pasting things from anti-ISlamic sites "again" doesn't help refute what I said.
psychlopes1976 1 year ago
@psychlopes1976 The information is sound. Refute it if you have evidence to do so...otherwise it is you contributing nothing to the discussion. Your opinion alone does what exactly? You need evidence to prove mine wrong. Provide it. This is how we flesh out truth. I am interested in truth and not opinions.
mdr22315 1 year ago
@mdr22315 - I just gave you evidence, and I'm waiting on you to go and check it with your Arab friends, I gave you no "opinions". Respond to what I said first, refute it if you can then, then I'll move on to the next stage. If you don't want to do so then please point out how what I said was an "opinion" as opposed to information that can be verified and validated.
psychlopes1976 1 year ago
@psychlopes1976 I apologize I missed the evidence. Can you please re post it?
mdr22315 1 year ago
