@corsa345 In some cases, people really do feel they are being honest about their opinions of the Bible, but they need to let it read for itself and be genuine when studying it. It's 40+ authors from different eras. Original Hebrew and Greek helps out tremendously if one come across a confusing passage. All "contradictions" that I've seen were at the fault of the reader and not the text themselves. The Bible is a wide array of everything and it correlates and guides itself from beginning to end.

There are hundreds- probably thousands- of translations, some more true to the original text than others, but virtually all limited by the texts which have been removed, hidden, or even destroyed by one church or another as "heretical" or "unacceptable". Only scholars even have access to the full text, and even that is limited by how much has been lost, destroyed, or simply never found.

There' s no Lilith mentioned in Genesis, whoever scholars said that Adam had a wife prior to Eve is stupid, they do not understand the scripture, and how to read between the lines. In Gen 1:27, it says..male & female He created them,and in Gen 2:18, And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone;I will make him a helper comparable to him.” We can see here that the first verse is the summary of the creation of man, the latter part tells the details on how they were created.
I would assume it was a summary too, but the order in which things are created is different. In the first chapter of genesis god creates all the animals of the world and then man and woman, but in genesis 2:19, god has created adam and then starts creating animals again for adam to name. these are two different stories lumped together most likely

You know the bible doesn't mention satan until 1 chronicles when it retells the census story, replacing god with satan as the being telling david to take the census. It's 40+ authors from different eras. Original Hebrew and Greek helps out tremendously if one come across a confusing passage. All "contradictions" that I've seen were at the fault of the reader and not the text themselves. The Bible is a wide array of everything and it correlates and guides itself from beginning to end.

@d I don't think that there is a contract between Lucifer (Helel)/Satan though. It's clear that he was kicked out of his estate in Heaven and is dammed throughout the Bible. It all has to do with freewill. Angelic host have it just as we do. Yeshua said to let the wheat and tares grow until the harvest. (judgment) In order for reality and freewill to exist, positive & negative/good & evil need to be part of the equation. Otherwise we are robots. He wants to mature a relationship.

@dwhite1up Not quite a contract, only an agreement. Yahweh, as the Oversoul and Caretaker of the Earth agreed to Lucifer (Oversoul of Venus) arrival on the Earth.
Lucifer had to provide negative polarity, because there was none here at the time of Eden, time of innocent neutrality where there was no positive or negative polarity at all.
You can remember the Tree was the tree of knowledge of BOTH good and evil, of doing beneficial (altruist) things to others and doing selfish things.

The coming new Earth of negative density (so-called "hell") is said to be a purgatory for Yahwians and Luciferians that have sinned and were egoist (egoist = negatively charged). There will be also "heaven", a new Earth of positive density (the other side of the Earth) where miracles will be done by godly people that became angels.

Screw you History Channel! Contradictions? Inconsistencies?... Yes, if you purposely twist scripture and combine pagan beliefs. The same pagans beliefs that God talked of. Many answers to Genesis are found later on throughout the Bible. Anybody who has honestly studied the Bible will see through this crap. It's sad that the Bible has become so diluted. It doesn't tell anywhere near the real story of creation. Use the Bible as one of the references for ancient history. I recommend the Sumerian Tablets if you would like a real look at the creation of humans. Adam is not one person. Adam is actually Adamu (plural) a race created by the Annunaki from Neanderthal man and bit of their own DNA. They weren't God's, they were space travelers here to rape our resources and use their creation as slaves.

To those who comment that "None of this was in the bible I read"- Which bible did you read? There are hundreds- probably thousands- of translations, some more true to the original text than others, but virtually all limited by the texts which have been removed, hidden, or even destroyed by one church or another as "heretical" or "unacceptable". Only scholars even have access to the full text, and even that is limited by how much has been lost, destroyed, or simply never found.

There' s no Lilith mentioned in Genesis, whoever scholars said that Adam had a wife prior to Eve is stupid, they do not understand the scripture, and how to read between the lines. In Gen 1:27, it says..male & female He created them,and in Gen 2:18, And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone;I will make him a helper comparable to him.” We can see here that the first verse is the summary of the creation of man, the latter part tells the details on how they were created.

I would assume it was a summary too, but the order in which things are created is different. In the first chapter of genesis god creates all the animals of the world and then man and woman, but in genesis 2:19, god has created adam and then starts creating animals again for adam to name. these are two different stories lumped together most likely

The creation stories are from two different perspectives. Anybody with a 3rd grade comprehension level can understand that. I can disprove this snake theory. Later God had said that forever shall he (the assumed "snake") crawl on his belly and eat dirt. If the history channel is going to take something from the bible, take everything, not just what they want to see. I'm not even religious and a far as I can see, there is no Lilith.

This "Garden of Eden" was likely an attempt made by the authors of the Bible to solidify the broken memories of the Sumerian and Akkadian civilizations that existed long ago when the near Middle East was rich with fertile swamps and rivers, allowing civilization to rise. These wetlands eventually dried out, making the places mythic history.

You know the bible doesn't mention satan until 1 chronicles when it retells the census story, replacing god with satan as the being telling david to take the census. It doesn't say anything at all about satan. It doesn't say anything at all about satan in the garden. And if you go by the bible there does seem to be 2 different creations one with a man and woman together and the other with adam first. I think you should read the bible you might change your mind.

@CrazyFurrCat I must say I am a scholar of the WORD of GOD myself and to really get down to the gist of everything, Satan was cast down to the earth with his demonic hosts. In the garden of Eden Satan could not enter what God had developed for man. Satan could only posses the serpent and then fully take control. To be honest the Holy Spirit is the only way we will be able to access the full extent of what the WORD of GOD means.

@CrazyFurrCat The point is that nowhere in the book of Genesis is the serpent ever ONCE identified as Satan. And Lilith is a character from Jewish scriptures. There is a great deal more to Christianity than its current canonical books. What you don't realize is that the understanding of the Biblical scriptures as a singular, connected doctrine is NOT how the scriptures were viewed in the early days of Christianity, nor the earliest days of recognizably Hebrew religious thought.

@boxingnews247 So where did all they diversity come from? And im still figuring out how long ago "The beginning" was...Doesnt it take tens of thousands of years to change a species?

@Enix2012 the human race has fundamentally remained the same since the beginning although there has been changes to the human gene through disease and viruses – many of which can traced back to the results of human actions. This has resulted in humans having shorter life spans although this is now increasing through advances in technology. The diversity you see today is due to the environment they inhabit which did not take millions of years, rather in the thousands of years.

Seriously, people read into the Scriptures too far so that they twist the meaning. This is total bullarky. There was no Lilith, because there was NO SIN in Eden before Eve ate the forbidden fruit. so for "lilith" to be arguing with Adam would be a sin. There is nothing that states man was created twice. The Bible says first that man was created in God's image, then when it is mentioned again, it is just going over the WAY man was made. it says "made IN God's image" not " made FROM God's image".

The 2 missing rivers seem to be in Ethiopia and India and if you look at sucessive continent positions you will see that India, the arabic peninsula and Africa were at one point in the proper position possibly re-arranged too by the huge african rift that the Nile follows until Ethiopia where the rift splits and one branch turns and follows the Red Sea, the golf of Aqaba to the Dead Sea and the Jordan river path towards the Tigris and Euphrates. Reversing the river flows too ? Seems possible.

As enthralling and interesting as this may seem. We really shouldn't be concerned too much about where the Garden is and all that. Besides, if it's still here. What is the person gonna do when they get there? It's not like they can enter into it anyway. It's been guarded by a cherubim in the east and a flaming sword that turns every which way. Genesis 3:24
We should however, focus on the Big Picture. On what truly matters. Doing the will of YHWH.
