I played this one on the Genesis a lot. It was one of my favorite Bomberman games until the X-box 360 came out with the Xbox live arcade bomberman game.

I've downloaded both and in my opinion '94 is way better. The battle mode's much more robust, and the one-player got some much needed TLC. This is actually a Bomberman game I'd buy for the single-player.

Even the very first Bomberman was REALLY easy. Once you got the right power-ups you were unstoppable. Aaahh... fun times they were!

Perferably, I like the Sega Genesis music more. How can you tell if it's sampled music or not? It sounds like PSG (Processed Sound Generation) to me. Digimon, I've noticed that the purple Louies jump every time a bomb explodes. This seems to be preprogrammed, but I don't remember that happening in Mega Bomberman. It's really cool to fight a boss over a glass window looking over space and his planet. I will now be thinking of happy bombermen.

the original pc engine/turbo grafx controllers only have 2 buttons. Its a bit tricky when you have the bombs which you can time the detonate and the louies at the same time.

So that's why the bombs explode at different rates. It's very nice to hold a bomb in the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16. I didn't think that would be possible. Hey, that bat boss could be Bart from Bomberman Land Touch! and the Ice Queen reminds me of Jynx.
