  • Mets are cute... But so are those Cyber-Elf Mets that i seen on the Wiki.

  • At least Crashman isn't as loud and annoying as a certain Megaman X7 boss.

  • I don't find the pause thingy a glitch, more like clever use of game mechanics. Its not like you're skipping a full room or anything.

  • but the whole idea of megaman is to make use of flaws in either the programming or design of the opponent, so saying that you don't like having to use a glitch in the game is kind of saying you don't like megaman's whole idea

  • 6:14 the 1-up curse lives!!!

  • WHERES MAH TEN POINTS:( I GUESSED !!!

  • Nee, Roahm... Ya-ra-na-i-ka?!

  • Your funny commentary and analysis at the end, makes your vids very entertaining!!

  • Telly Vision XD

  • i like your accent and your charisma when commentating on the video. you just succeeded in making a 'pain in the ass' level seem like fun in the park. and hell, i'm off to play it now for the first time in 15 years! nice job!

  • In Japan, he is actually called clash man too...

  • Comment removed

  • I know that you know there is a way to pass from one ladder to another by dropping at the Pipi part. It's just hard to do. I may try and find an easier way to do it. If I do, I will let you know. Good Job on Crash Man.

    -Old School Video Game King-

  • I'm also gonna make all rooms of this stage to play in for brawl

  • The crashman stage theme is called "crash, let's do it!" there's a lyrics'd version too

  • That was quick. How did you do that. [I hate crash man]

  • 6:16 is that the first instance of the 1up curse?

  • @GigaHands Check the MM1 Fireman video. :)

  • Surprised they did not name them Agit-Props

  • the 3 masters i go for first are metal man then bubbleman then wood man

  • I thought he was getting damaged by his own weapon when you made him run through it. Would have been nice if it did hurt him.

  • Perfect choice of music for the "Outtakes" screen; nice play on the Crash/Clash dispute.

  • At 2:17, you can just jump as soon as you land on the middle platform to leap over his plasma shots and catch the ladder.

  • Hey, how do you record the sound of the game and your voice at the same time? .-.

  • I wear a headset mic while playing, and have the volume on my computer up loud enough so the mic picks up both my voice and the game audio.

  • @RoahmMythril Why the hell didn't I think of that?? thanks.

  • @RoahmMythril That must be one heck of a high quality mic to keep the quality from the speakers. What make and model is it? O:

  • I'm not quite sure of the exact model, but it's made by CyberAccoustics.

  • Do these Tellies like triangles?

  • Crash Man looks awesome in the Outtakes/Difficulty analysis pic!

  • Cursed Pipies! You and your spawn shall burn. BURN! -_-

  • Spaghetti Factory Explosion!!! XD 11/10

  • The Telles want more screen time, Roahm. That's why Megaman missed that first jump. While the running Mets know how much you like them and want to give you a hug

  • who called capcom evil dat was funny

  • Your:2/10!?

    Mine:8/10

  • Since NeoScyther came up with that way of dodging the Pipis without the glitch, will you re-shoot the Crash Man stage like you said you would starting at 9:02? Or at the very least, you could upload a video of you passing that ladder safely as yet another REVENGE video--your revenge against the sadistic Pipi!

  • Egh.... I really don't know. Of the over one hundred times I've tried that, I've managed it once. The pixel-perfect nature of it is incredibly annoying.

  • @RoahmMythril One method that worked for me was climbing up the right ladder while making the the bird come from the left. When you first enter the area don't move up the ladder till the egg pops. They will fly down at an angle farther and you can climb up past them.Might of been luck on my end,but it worked out for me.

  • bleh, I'm not one who attempts no-hit runs or anything like that myself, but that ladder part with the birds is certainly one of the most annoying parts that stick out in my memory of Megaman 2.

  • Indeed, that is a highly annoying segment XP

  • that boss battle game me nightmare

now it is easier than super mario brothers

  • around 2:06, I always wondered what the platforms there were for

  • That Met at 2:14: If you quickly jump onto the 2nd platform straight to the ladder, it will shoot, and run into the abyss... already a perfect run, but just thought i'd share some info :D

  • The first time my friend and I saw a walking Met, I yelled "IT HAS EVOLVED" and my friend prattled on about the apocolypse: something or other...

  • Pipi, worst. Robot. Mother. Ever.

  • "Tellies aren't a particularly threatening--...enemy... >_>;;"

Priceless, along with the Pipi outtakes.

  • i hated this boss

hard because i like to stay awa from the boss

  • Do you do your commentary as you play, or do you play and add the commentary after? btw, you have very pleasant voice.

  • I do my commentary as I play, and thank you ;)

  • his real name is clash man because of airman (eaman) gets rid of the r and clashman is Kurasshuman so he really is clashman as shown on the mmkb

  • Looking further into the article however, it states that the translation gets confused all over the place, as the English version of Mega Man II calls him Clash Man, yet the Japanese version of one of the fighting games calls him Crash Man. Thus, it isn't even constant by language. The article itself is titled Crash Man however, so that's probably the more accepted name.

  • I never could beat Crash Man with the Mega Buster (and no joke either)

  • 8:00 "I think you're EVIL!!!"

Freaking birds... You deserved this accusation, Capcom!

  • Agh, freaking birds o.o; Yeah, there is evidently a way to get by them without the glitch, but it requires pixel perfect maneauvering, quite annoying....

  • @PinkKittyRose I think you skipped Wood Man. I didn't see a comment from you on that one.

  • his name should be infinate loop man!

  • I had a feeling you'd use something from "The Birds"

is the movie any good cause it was actually recommended by my history teacher

  • There is no denying it is a classic and Hitchcock is a brilliant director and filmmaker, but The Birds kind of left me wanting a bit more.

  • Hate to double comment but it seems you are right. In Wily no nazo it seems like he jumps when you jump.

  • Nah I'd hate to disagree with a brilliant player, but I stick bah ma wooord Samsoon

  • Actually Crash Man jumps when you jump, Flash Man jumps when you shoot...

  • Watch closely, and you'll see that he doesn't jump when I jump. I'm just jumping to lead my shots so I'll hit him when he jumps. His jump is indeed triggered by my shooting.

  • Best part by far, "Telly's aren't a particularly threatening (gets hit) e....ne...my."

  • Megaman: Gravity may be my friend but not Gravity Man

  • acually the enemies right befor crashman are called fly boys

  • I just checked the Mega Man Knowledge Base. It seems we're both right. Their Japanese name is Flyboy, but their English name is Prop-Top. It's much the same as Suzy / Octopus Battery.

  • Love this stage and how you go up to "space" The final room with the stars in the background is awesome isn't it?

  • Hey Roahm, I know this is an older video but I shot and uploaded a video showing how to pass the dreaded glitch area without using the glitch. Problem is, you have to almost be pixel perfect, but it works...it may just take a lot of tries...too many for one video maybe even. :D

  • Gravity is your friend unless you're in Physics and have to deal with Newton's Universal Gravitation! Sorry.

  • at 2:49 u sounded like u said bitch lol :P

  • It does sound like that, I kind of rushed my words there, but I said "glitch."

  • This is the reason he's such a pussy when faced with Air Shooter. He takes forever with the buster!

  • Nice song, but what does Rock The Casbah have to do with Crash Man?

  • It's a joke on the name. The song was done by the band "The Clash," and there's constant questioning on if this particular Robot Master is supposed to be known as Crash Man or Clash Man.

  • "Crash" and "Clash" are essentially the same name when translated from Japanese. That's the reason for the confusion (it also shows up in Megaman games with Right/Light). But I'm pretty sure you knew that.

  • Gravity is your friend!

    It certainly is!

  • I thought you would show us how you can just "dance" with Crash Man, because if you just move left and right, Crash Man won't do anything, just keep moving left and right. I found out that when I accidentally forgot to pause the game when going to help my mom with something

  • Ah, I actually didn't notice that X) Besides, the Crash Man fight went on long enough as it is X)

  • This is a great video, and the content's awesome. I just had one gripe with it: the game, its designers and whatnot aren't making you use a glitch to get through that stage. The game wasn't made counting on people who wanted buster-only perfect runs. Complaining about the glitch being the only way to clear that section of the stage is a bit unfair, don't you think?

Aside from that, great video, very good runs, and nice editing. I really like your work.

  • I stand by my complaint in all honesty. It's a fairly cheap move. I'd expect something like that in a fortress stage, once they're sure you have all the weapons and would be equipped for something like that, but in this situation, say you start with Crash Man? Unless you know about the glitch, you're more or less doomed to take damage there.

  • Like I said, the game and/or its designers weren't counting on people being all hell-bent on doing perfect runs, regardless of them being buster-only or not. A sadistic move? You bet your buns. But far from cheap.

I was going to describe a situation that would merit the "cheap" label, but screw that, I'm not making that point.

True, you're almost certainly doomed to be damaged there, but, unless you're aiming for perfect runs, the damage is negligible and so is the knock-back.

  • Hm.... well, I guess this is an area where we'll have to agree to disagree, I still see it as a cheap move, I'm afraid ^_^; I don't see "forced damage" as a good game play mechanic. I mean, later on in the Wily stages, there's a Returning Sniper Joe that pretty much forces you to use a Robot Master weapon, as it's in a narrow corridor where you can't jump over it. But by that time, you have no excuse, you HAVE all the weapons. Since you can immediately go to Crash Man's stage, you might not.

  • I always wondered if there was a pattern to beat Crash Man easily. He was the only MM2 master I couldn't do a perfect run on.

  • I love the way that you're so knowledgeable in these games, even going so far as to use the actual names of the minor enemies in the levels. To me, it makes these run-throughs more enjoyable to watch.

  • This is why killing crash man with super tornadoes is vital. kills him quicker

  • I can never hear Crash Man's stage music without thinking about the Hyadin remix.

    ._.

  • @SuperHoboPirateNinja And I sing it, too. XD

  • @SuperHoboPirateNinja damn you hyadin...DAMN YOU TO HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you know roahm?....your voice has changed a bit since this video...

  • Really? I think if anything I've just felt more energetic lately and that's come across in more of my videos. This was still fairly early in my "career," so I still wasn't quite sure 100% what I was doing or such, to me I just sound more sedate in this one or something X)

  • (continued from previous comment): like I was saying, it IS barely escapable if they come from the left!

Now, I'm not forcing you to redo this, but if you want to, go ahead! It will probably take a lot of tries, but it is possible :)

  • Comment removed

  • Ok Roahm, I know I'm very late on this but I was playing this stage today and found a way to avoid the pipis without the glitch!

1: Go up the left ladder like in this video.

2: Climb up to the tip top bit before thw wall, if you fall while facing the wall, you won't have enough momentum to get to the other ladder, and believe me it IS possible!

3:The pipis must come from the left side of the screen, they follow you downward if they come to the right, but if they come from the left, it is

  • WHOA!

  • lol, bombman was the only robot that i couldnt beat without a powerup.

    now i know :D

  • You know what I hate, in the megaman collection for the PS2 makes it so crashman attacks you after a few seconds! WTF?! I wanted to do the crashman dance for my brother and I get a bomb to the face! They really screwed up my run.

Also, they removed the pippy glitch in the PS2 version

  • hey roahm have you played the Hardhat games?

  • I've heard of them and seen them, and have tried to play them... on my older system, which they didn't play nice with. I haven't tried them on my current system, I'm not even sure where to find them anymore.

  • I saw a link somewhere to the developers site

  • I believe there is a way to make a Metal Blade stand still in this game... make it so that the Pipi's fly right into it... or throw a Metal Blade upwards either way works...

But then again... that would be going against your rules of Buster only right?

  • Indeed, that's the problem, I wanted to find a way to do it without using another weapon other than the buster. The glitch was the only way I could find to do so from general consensus.

  • One thing I never got about the level is this: did Mega Man climb so high, he got into space, or did he climb for so long, the surrounding area turned to night?

  • Good question, that, I'd guess it's just that he starts this stage in the late evening or something ^_^;

  • At 2:13 you can simply just jump to the second platform and then across to the ladder. The met's upper shot will miss you and the met itself will jump off.

  • Ah, I hadn't considered that. Thank you for the tip.

  • Wow. And here I thought Crash man was a pain in the ass.

  • This was one where I really wasn't sure until I started fighting him. Back when I'd use the Air Shooter, he dies in three hits, so it's hard to notice a pattern in someone who is gone that fast.

  • And their head's look like Cutman's head.

  • Ha, so I'm not the only one to have thought that X)
