  • Dave that screen is crying out for a RiderScan mate, the more info the better :))).

What MPG you getting with that as that I believe is very important with the current price of oil and everything else. Ride Safe

  • @2wheelsteve I'm not sure what mpg the bike gets, maybe 55mpg, just a guess. Maybe I will put a RiderScan on that screen one day :)

  • Is one of those mirrors on the right side of the bike for checking yourself out while you're riding? :D

  • @Dogfacerawr Haha that mirror is the most horrible thing I've ever seen on a bike! It's all rusty and nasty, I've got some bar ends to replace it, I'l fit them along with the new heated grips in the next few weeks :)

  • very nice video even if I'm not that much into motorbikes :-)

  • @JacqueMelvin Hey Jac thanks I try to keep my videos interesting enough so that even people who don't have a particularly big interest in bikes, engines etc. can still enjoy them and maybe still pick up some things that they find interesting :)

  • what do you hate about chains?

  • @SniperWill I just hate cleaning them, oiling them, adjusting them, and whenever I have to take the back wheel off a bike they are nothing but an oily mess that seems to be impossible to get back on without fuss. It wouldn't put me off buying a bike if it had a chain, but I view it as a bonus if has shaft or belt drive. I've had 2 bikes with chain drive, 1 with belt drive and this is my first with a shaft drive bike, so far so good. :)

  • @gpzDave thats true i remember when i was driving once there was a guy on a suzuki gsxr revving his engine like an idiot, and doing wheelies and his chain broke off. lol I think he didnt oil it enough though because when he accelerated it sounded like metal clanging together.

  • Oh i also was wondering when you had your honda cbr 250r how often did you have to do maintenance? Btw your bmw is nice. :)

  • @SniperWill Hehe I've never owned a CBR250R :) I just had it for a 1hr test ride, but I imagine that it would be an easy bike to maintain. :)

  • @gpzDave lol i hope so im going to pick one up this winter, hopefully they might go on sale but i highly think that won't happen. lol please excuse me for my terrible grammar soooooooo tired.

  • do you have facebook

  • @kdougall652 No, YouTube is the only media site I use :)

  • "It's like uhhhh.... I don't know what that's like actually..." hahahaha! Cool bike, enjoying the videos! Keep em coming

  • @sseeker21 Thanks Andrew, I still don't know what I was trying to remember, I think it was neon lights or something ;)

  • nice looking bike - loving the look of the boxer engine :)

  • @64rlwri Thanks man! :)

  • That's a great new buy, Dave. I really like the video too, you've done a good job with this.

  • @g4rdenspoon Cheers Paul :)

  • ive got a feeling its been crashed b4

  • @shinyfuzzy Maybe a light low speed drop but it's in good mechanical order, I'm not too worried, it's a tough old beast! ;)

  • @gpzDave the cool part about this bike is that when u do crash u smash ur engine not ur plastics. is one of the heads cleaner than the other?

  • @shinyfuzzy Both the heads look OK to me, they both have those plastic protectors on them which look quite sturdy. It rides perfect though so I'm pretty sure it is mechanically sound.

  • Great bike love the big BMW bikes, wouldn't mind a touring BMW myself. Great buy as well and such low miles. 5*

    Daniel

  • @bartonlane I'm looking forward to seeing what this bike is like, BMW's are supposed to be good machines to own, time will tell and I'll keep you all posted. :)

  • very nice that dave, loving the condition, like most other people said you could spray up the boxes. i for one would love to see how they turn out.

I think you should go on a trip to magadan like ewen and charlie, once again top bike !!!!!!!

  • @03mdhillug Thanks mate haha yes Magadan would be good! If I didn't have to work all the time maybe I would ;)

  • Tough bikes I've seen them with over 80.000 0n them and this one looks nice, as for the panniers, wet and dry and a can of spray paint they will look great:)

  • @psychotheed Thanks for the tip mate I'll try and redo the panniers fairly soon, they let the rest of the bike down a bit.

  • Congratz bro!! i hope you can wright more excellent reviews with this new bike! hehe, love youre vids!

  • @TIpsyJeepsy Thanks man! I'll try to get some more reviews made soon :)

  • are those side boxes like a Tardis? how do you fit a lawnmower in there :P LOL jks

But more seriously looks like a nice bike, and pretty clean as well. Maybe you can try spraying those boxes up?

    Be safe my friend :)

  • @MO3MINI Haha thanks Dan ;) I can fit a big tin of fence paint in either side and loads of hand tools, but yes I'm yet to work out how to get a mower on there! :D

  • Very nice bike dave good choice , if I had seen that for sale I might have bought it at that price ;) , will watch for you around Glenrothes should be easy to spot you now :)

  • @uptowndisco2 Thanks mate :) And I'm still keeping an eye out for that shiny W800 of yours ;)

  • Good choice Dave. These machines are great for us folks who do our own maintenance. I am sure you will have many happy miles on it.

  • @Hank2wheels Thanks Hank, I'm loving it so far! :)

  • nice bike what was the cost?

  • @bigcreator Hi it was £1350, which is a decent price for this bike.

  • @gpzDave

Good Price very low miles for that kind of bike.

but why do you hate chains?

  • @bigcreator I just hate cleaning them, oiling them, adjusting them, and whenever I have to take the back wheel off a bike they are nothing but an oily mess that seems to be impossible to get back on without fuss. It wouldn't put me off buying a bike if it had a chain, but I view it as a bonus if has shaft or belt drive. I've had 2 bikes with chain drive, 1 with belt drive and this is my first with a shaft drive bike, so far so good. :)

  • Thats a pretty nice bike my dad has the F650gs really nice bike

  • @bev1806 Yes the F650GS is a nice bike too :)

  • Nice bike ... good choice!

  • @pictgroove4 Thanks mate :)
