We should all play FFX on December 20 (Release date). Spira's legacy and dreams shall never be forgotten. We are the Fayth that keep this dream alive. If we stop dreaming, this game will fade away like Dream Zanarkand.

@ThisGirlisColdHearte Hehe I'm only messing about. At the time I had a surge of "ironic imagery" where two extremes actually came together quite nicely :)
This game changed my life. I have a story to tell Basically my life went to the shits when i was 12. I wont even say why cos im not lookin for sympathy.recently i played this game all the way thru.hadnt played it since i was 8 and didnt even complete it back then.its been a rough 5 years but now iv finaly found happiness.. it was this game that made me find happiness.it really helped me to grow as a person and get on with life.im going to post this to many ffx related videos spread the gud news
sounds stupid but I love to listen to this soundtrack when im feeling stressed about things because it just brings back so many memories ^^ maybe it's sad that those are memories are of me playing this game but it is so emotional and beautiful - especially the music - that it just makes me happy :') I don't care if it's 'just a game' it affected me like a film or a book does... too much love for these games and the master uematsu ^0^
Games may be pretty silly since a lot of them are like Mario or Tetris, but nowadays there's RPGs with really emotional elements tied in with... Games are just simply something to enjoy anymore... It's something to learn from.
Heh heh, well, one person said somewhere that it was actually horrible because of that. That it was like a movie with some interactive parts, but look at XIII that was even worse. The gameplay was just so odd, and it had all these chapters and not that much exploration at all. You couldn't freely roam around towns, talking to people, especially since you're Fa'ciel or whatever the hell it is. The game just felt so short and a lot more boring than this...
@AkumaUchitoru Thank you! I felt exactly the same way about FFXIII, it just really wasn't the same. The story was pretty good and all, and a good game, but it wasn't final fantasy. FFX and FFVII were perfect for me because they had everything good about them, although 7 did have better gameplay. But, yeah, 10 is just the best game every ^^
LOL. It may sound funny because I haven't actually played the game, I've only watched it but I think VI is the best. IV and V weren't half bad either, but VI (III) looked really good... The PS1 ones are great too though. X isn't my favorite but I like it a lot. I don't like any one after it though... And I think X-2 is a terrible sequel. I can't believe what they did to Yuna. :( I would have made her a white mage if I made the game... If she isn't going to be a summoner anymore.
@AkumaUchitoru I haven't played all of the games, I used to watch my brother play some of them.. and the PS1 games are basically the best ones and I know!! X-2 was pretty awful and Yuna just wasn't Yuna D:
@AkumaUchitoru I tend to watch most of the games as well. X is my absolute fav, with VIII coming in a close second. Yuna is one of the best female characters I've ever seen, really. She's got such a quiet strength to her. She's pretty without being provocative. I'm writing fanfiction in another fandom and I have a character inspired by her. Now X-2? Haven't watched it in whole, but what little I have seen looks like some Sailor Moon bullshit. I was very disappointed.

That's what makes this game good. :) I admit, I like the others more, probably because the game has some weird, corny moments while the others are a little more serious, but, it has it's dramatic moments too of course.
The part that touches me the most is when Tidus learns that Yuna is willing to sacrifice herself to defeat Sin, and especially when you go to the Calm Plains. I really liked the part, even though that place is where it gets surprisingly a lot harder...
@HelloiPWN Heterosexual men have emotions, too. They are just straitjacketed by a society that won't allow them to express themselves as they truly are.
@HelloiPWN You certainly have to be emotionally sensible to cry while playing a video game. But emotional sensibility is a normally distributed trait which is not exclusive to women and homosexual men. Many homosexual men lack emotional sensibility, and many heterosexual men have it in abundance.
What worries me is that what you say might further the stereotype that men have no emotional sensitivity, so that people think it's fine to push them around. You're a guy, aren't you?
And emotional sensibility is a gift, but you speak of it as if it were a horrible thing. It is what allows us to appreciate life, art, music, and understand and relate to others. Without it, we'd be robots. We certainly wouldn't have games like this, and wouldn't be able to enjoy them if we did.
You enjoyed the game, didn't you? Well, some of us see the beauty even moreso. That kind of vision should be encouraged--especially in men, who are falsely stereotyped and discouraged from having it.
@kleinemauserich Lol, you seriously have to be super duper gay to have cried while playing a videogame, and you seriously have no life for writing that tl;dr.
@HelloiPWN Name-calling, re-stating the claim, and 'lol' don't help you prove your point. A rational argument would.
As Socrates said during his heresy trial, the unexamined life is not worth living. I write because I think and care about gender issues in this country, and I want everyone who reads these comments to see the other side of the coin. If being impassioned about these issues isn't having a life, what is?
@HelloiPWN HA! Tell that to almost everyone who played FF7 when Aeris died. I'm willing to bet that 75% shed a tear. We're all human, there's no shame in acknowledging that a sacrifice for the greater good moved you. It's something that is engraved in our brains. It's supposed to be sad, because your brain doesn't really know the difference between a story you're wrapped up in and a real occurrence. It's a controlled substitute for real life emotions we don't use anymore.
@Erduk Gay guy, I cry at weddings and funerals because those are actually sad. Watching a videogame character, a fictional 3D person on the television screen die, is not sad. You have to be fucking retarded to not know the difference the TV screen and real life. I'm willing to bet that I can make up shitty statistics too and say that less than 10% of people cried when watching some Final Fantasy character die and they were all women.
@HelloiPWN So, stories can't remind you of funerals you've been to? You've never been reminded of someone you know in real life by a fictional character? Maybe the problem you have is that you can't relate to the feelings portrayed in the story. Probably because with your attitude, you don't make very many connections with people in real life. You're going to have to stop being an asshole before you open up.
@Erduk Gay guy, the thing is, nobody I've known has ever been stabbed in the heart while praying by a villain wielding a long ass katana who fell from the sky randomly. You're going to have to stop being gay to not see things in a gay perspective. Also, you play a game to have fun, not to get too wrapped up in the story. Say you're playing Call of Duty, or Pokemon, you play it so that you can enjoy the game itself, not the story, that's what games are for. You want a good story then read a book.
@HelloiPWN Obvious troll is obvious. The fact that the two games you mentioned first are the most main stream and full of newbs tells me that you're also a douche bag. Go back to CoD and leave the intelligent people alone. We are smart enough to know what a good story is and that it can be told in many formats... some interactive.
@Erduk I just read this, comment of yours calling me a troll for naming "mainstream" games. Final Fantasy is an incredibly mainstream game and I do not own Call of Duty, so your attempt at dictating that I am a troll completely failed. I never said anything about whether Final Fantasy had a good story or not. You are pretty "presumptuous" to say that people who play mainstream games like Pokemon and CoD are all douchebags and "newbs" and that people who play FF are intelligent. Fail.
@Erduk When did I ever cry? Now you just look like some fool trying to make another person look bad when really, they are just making themselves look like an idiot. Also, it's not an opinion to think that all people who do something are unintelligent douchebags, it's just being stupid, like Hitler. What you think of all CoD players is a lot like what Hitler thought of all the Jews.
@Erduk idk what that is, too lazy to search what it is and I really don't care what it is. The point is, you're obviously just avoiding the fact that you were indeed wrong about most things because you're most likely too embarrassed to admit it due to your huge ego.
@HelloiPWN Godwin's law states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1 (100%)." There is a tradition in many newsgroups and other Internet discussion forums that once such a comparison is made, the thread is finished and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically "lost" whatever debate was in progress.
@Erduk How does that even make sense? I wanted to emphasize that you were being incredibly biased so I connected your behaviour towards CoD players to Hitler's behaviour towards Jews. You thought you were some sort of elitist for being an "intelligent" person who plays Final Fantasy and Hitler thought he was an elitist for being a German. I'm sorry, but this "Godwin's Law" just seems something you pulled out because, once again, you knew you lost but you were too egotistical to admit it.
@Erduk Oh yeah, that Godwin's Law seems like bullshit as well because I have read several internet arguments and discussions for the lulz and although some of them have mentioned Hitler, most of them did not. Therefore, this law cannot be due to the fact that not 100% of arguments over the internet mention Hitler or Nazi Germany. I would also like to state that the only time a person would use this "law" is when they realise that they can't say anything else due to the fact that they are wrong.
@HelloiPWN No. It's a widely known law, which is the sole reason you don't see Hitler and Nazis being mentioned everywhere. You lose if you do the comparison, like you just did. No reason to cry more just because you've been at this a lot shorter time than me. Just accept it and remember it for next time... loser.
@Erduk Ah, I see that your ego is in fact too big to admit that you had lost previously so you had to pull this Godwin's Law out to "win" this argument which you knew you had lost. My thoughts about your elitist attitude being similar to Hitler and how Godwin's Law cannot be still stands. You may believe what you want about who you think "won" but I really don't care. I would also like to add how ironic it is that you turned out to be the internet troll in the end of all this.
@Erduk Why do you keep saying "pew pew" and keep stating that I am "crying?" Because I can assure you that I most certainly am not crying. I understand it must be hard to admit defeat since you've been "doing this a lot longer than me," but there's no need to state false information to try and change the subject/try to make yourself feel better.
@HelloiPWN Could be it was actually about Nazis or Hitler, instead of an off topic comparison meant to insult the target of said comparison. You know, what you did... It's meant to discredit and shut down trolls, ironically. Cry some more.
@Erduk Also, if this is a "widely known law" like you claim it is, then why have I never seen it be mentioned in previous arguments where Hitler and/or Nazi Germany was mentioned?
@HelloiPWN You may be right about FF being mainstream, however, the original discussion is pointless as it's a matter of opinion. Which I'll never take seriously..
@HelloiPWN You're pretty presumptuous to speak for everyone as to why we play video games. That alone makes you not worth talking to. Enjoy trolling your life away.
@Erduk You're pretty presumptuous to speak for everyone when you say that we all cried while playing Final Fantasy. Are you saying that people don't play games to have fun, but rather to get emulsified into the story? Also, I love it when people decide to call me a troll then say that I'm not worth talking to because they know that they've lost an argument/are deciding to give up so that they don't look like they've gone down in defeat. It makes you look like a gay idiot :3.
@Erduk Why would you type up another response when you clearly stated that I was not worth talking to before? Is your ego too big to admit that I was right and that you did give up like some gay coward?
@HelloiPWN You're a great person. Your humbleness brings me to awe when I think of all the friends you must have. You've probably got a nice masters degree in some amazing area of knowledge and expertise. You should know how proud your mother is of you, taking the time in your busy day to spread your knowledge with all of us simpletons. Your use of obscene and vulgar words is near poetic. Please, share some more.
@MightyGlock it is but in the Sphere Theater in Luca the title reads "Movement in the Green." I had a helluva time converting all the titles of the songs :D
@gamefreakY yeah, when i was about 13 i had hard practise and learned it!useful for writing diaries and nobody being able to read them.it's a pity that now that i have forgtten most of the letters.
Finally found this song! It was my favorite in the actual game, and it's been haunting me ever since.
Just the simple melody, the upbeat drums, the steady rhythm... it's an excellent travel theme. It basically says "We're not at our destination yet, but we're making progress."
im 16 now...back then, when im viewing my past, it was my father who was real fAn with final fantasy's.... when im 10, i dont know what the meaning of gameand especially ff, but now, i do understand ff and i really like the FFX...the soundtrack, the story, the character...i wish they made another version for PS3 coz my PS2 has broken...
@narutoikmal xD that's why i now have 2 ps2s. my first one broke. ): btw. does anyone else notice how most songs in this game seem to revolve around To Zanarkand and Suteki Da Ne?
Great and beautiful game, this, 7,and X-2 were fantastic, 12 was lacking, and 13 fails.

The gameplay was just so odd, and it had all these chapters and not that much exploration at all. You couldn't freely roam around towns, talking to people, especially since you're Fa'ciel or whatever the hell it is. The game just felt so short and a lot more boring than this...
AkumaUchitoru 4 months ago
@AkumaUchitoru Thank you! I felt exactly the same way about FFXIII, it just really wasn't the same. The story was pretty good and all, and a good game, but it wasn't final fantasy. FFX and FFVII were perfect for me because they had everything good about them, although 7 did have better gameplay. But, yeah, 10 is just the best game every ^^

@PianoGhibli
AkumaUchitoru 4 months ago
@AkumaUchitoru I haven't played all of the games, I used to watch my brother play some of them.. and the PS1 games are basically the best ones and I know!! X-2 was pretty awful and Yuna just wasn't Yuna D:
PianoGhibli 4 months ago

They are just straitjacketed by a society that won't allow them to express themselves as they truly are.
kleinemauserich 7 months ago
@kleinemauserich Lol, you seriously have to be gay if you cry while playing a videogame.
HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@HelloiPWN You certainly have to be emotionally sensible to cry while playing a video game. But emotional sensibility is a normally distributed trait which is not exclusive to women and homosexual men. Many homosexual men lack emotional sensibility, and many heterosexual men have it in abundance.
What worries me is that what you say might further the stereotype that men have no emotional sensitivity, so that people think it's fine to push them around. You're a guy, aren't you?
kleinemauserich 7 months ago
And emotional sensibility is a gift, but you speak of it as if it were a horrible thing. It is what allows us to appreciate life, art, music, and understand and relate to others. Without it, we'd be robots. We certainly wouldn't have games like this, and wouldn't be able to enjoy them if we did.
You enjoyed the game, didn't you? Well, some of us see the beauty even moreso. That kind of vision should be encouraged--especially in men, who are falsely stereotyped and discouraged from having it.
kleinemauserich 7 months ago
@kleinemauserich Lol, you seriously have to be super duper gay to have cried while playing a videogame, and you seriously have no life for writing that tl;dr.
HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@HelloiPWN Name-calling, re-stating the claim, and 'lol' don't help you prove your point. A rational argument would.
As Socrates said during his heresy trial, the unexamined life is not worth living. I write because I think and care about gender issues in this country, and I want everyone who reads these comments to see the other side of the coin. If being impassioned about these issues isn't having a life, what is?
I'm done here. I've stated my case.

HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@HelloiPWN HA! Tell that to almost everyone who played FF7 when Aeris died. I'm willing to bet that 75% shed a tear. We're all human, there's no shame in acknowledging that a sacrifice for the greater good moved you. It's something that is engraved in our brains. It's supposed to be sad, because your brain doesn't really know the difference between a story you're wrapped up in and a real occurrence. It's a controlled substitute for real life emotions we don't use anymore.
Erduk 7 months ago
@Erduk Gay guy, I cry at weddings and funerals because those are actually sad. Watching a videogame character, a fictional 3D person on the television screen die, is not sad. You have to be fucking retarded to not know the difference the TV screen and real life. I'm willing to bet that I can make up shitty statistics too and say that less than 10% of people cried when watching some Final Fantasy character die and they were all women.
HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@HelloiPWN So, stories can't remind you of funerals you've been to? You've never been reminded of someone you know in real life by a fictional character? Maybe the problem you have is that you can't relate to the feelings portrayed in the story. Probably because with your attitude, you don't make very many connections with people in real life. You're going to have to stop being an asshole before you open up.
Erduk 7 months ago
@Erduk Gay guy, the thing is, nobody I've known has ever been stabbed in the heart while praying by a villain wielding a long ass katana who fell from the sky randomly. You're going to have to stop being gay to not see things in a gay perspective. Also, you play a game to have fun, not to get too wrapped up in the story. Say you're playing Call of Duty, or Pokemon, you play it so that you can enjoy the game itself, not the story, that's what games are for. You want a good story then read a book.
HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@HelloiPWN Obvious troll is obvious. The fact that the two games you mentioned first are the most main stream and full of newbs tells me that you're also a douche bag. Go back to CoD and leave the intelligent people alone. We are smart enough to know what a good story is and that it can be told in many formats... some interactive.
Erduk 7 months ago
@Erduk I just read this, comment of yours calling me a troll for naming "mainstream" games. Final Fantasy is an incredibly mainstream game and I do not own Call of Duty, so your attempt at dictating that I am a troll completely failed. I never said anything about whether Final Fantasy had a good story or not. You are pretty "presumptuous" to say that people who play mainstream games like Pokemon and CoD are all douchebags and "newbs" and that people who play FF are intelligent. Fail.
HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@HelloiPWN "Pew Pew Pew, someone on the internet said I was wrong." - HelloiPWN Cry some more.
Erduk 7 months ago
@Erduk When did I ever cry? Now you just look like some fool trying to make another person look bad when really, they are just making themselves look like an idiot. Also, it's not an opinion to think that all people who do something are unintelligent douchebags, it's just being stupid, like Hitler. What you think of all CoD players is a lot like what Hitler thought of all the Jews.
HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@HelloiPWN Godwin's law.
Erduk 7 months ago
@Erduk idk what that is, too lazy to search what it is and I really don't care what it is. The point is, you're obviously just avoiding the fact that you were indeed wrong about most things because you're most likely too embarrassed to admit it due to your huge ego.
HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@HelloiPWN Godwin's law states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1 (100%)." There is a tradition in many newsgroups and other Internet discussion forums that once such a comparison is made, the thread is finished and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically "lost" whatever debate was in progress.
Erduk 7 months ago
@Erduk How does that even make sense? I wanted to emphasize that you were being incredibly biased so I connected your behaviour towards CoD players to Hitler's behaviour towards Jews. You thought you were some sort of elitist for being an "intelligent" person who plays Final Fantasy and Hitler thought he was an elitist for being a German. I'm sorry, but this "Godwin's Law" just seems something you pulled out because, once again, you knew you lost but you were too egotistical to admit it.
HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@Erduk Oh yeah, that Godwin's Law seems like bullshit as well because I have read several internet arguments and discussions for the lulz and although some of them have mentioned Hitler, most of them did not. Therefore, this law cannot be due to the fact that not 100% of arguments over the internet mention Hitler or Nazi Germany. I would also like to state that the only time a person would use this "law" is when they realise that they can't say anything else due to the fact that they are wrong.
HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@HelloiPWN No. It's a widely known law, which is the sole reason you don't see Hitler and Nazis being mentioned everywhere. You lose if you do the comparison, like you just did. No reason to cry more just because you've been at this a lot shorter time than me. Just accept it and remember it for next time... loser.
Erduk 7 months ago
@Erduk Ah, I see that your ego is in fact too big to admit that you had lost previously so you had to pull this Godwin's Law out to "win" this argument which you knew you had lost. My thoughts about your elitist attitude being similar to Hitler and how Godwin's Law cannot be still stands. You may believe what you want about who you think "won" but I really don't care. I would also like to add how ironic it is that you turned out to be the internet troll in the end of all this.
HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@HelloiPWN pew pew pew. Cry.
Erduk 7 months ago
@Erduk Why do you keep saying "pew pew" and keep stating that I am "crying?" Because I can assure you that I most certainly am not crying. I understand it must be hard to admit defeat since you've been "doing this a lot longer than me," but there's no need to state false information to try and change the subject/try to make yourself feel better.
HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@HelloiPWN Could be it was actually about Nazis or Hitler, instead of an off topic comparison meant to insult the target of said comparison. You know, what you did... It's meant to discredit and shut down trolls, ironically. Cry some more.
Erduk 7 months ago
@Erduk I didn't understand a single word of what you said, please rephrase it so that I may "cry" at it.
HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@Erduk Also, if this is a "widely known law" like you claim it is, then why have I never seen it be mentioned in previous arguments where Hitler and/or Nazi Germany was mentioned?
HelloiPWN 7 months ago
@HelloiPWN You may be right about FF being mainstream, however, the original discussion is pointless as it's a matter of opinion. Which I'll never take seriously..
Erduk 7 months ago
@HelloiPWN You're pretty presumptuous to speak for everyone as to why we play video games. That alone makes you not worth talking to. Enjoy trolling your life away.
Erduk 7 months ago
@Erduk You're pretty presumptuous to speak for everyone when you say that we all cried while playing Final Fantasy. Are you saying that people don't play games to have fun, but rather to get emulsified into the story? Also, I love it when people decide to call me a troll then say that I'm not worth talking to because they know that they've lost an argument/are deciding to give up so that they don't look like they've gone down in defeat. It makes you look like a gay idiot :3.

Just the simple melody, the upbeat drums, the steady rhythm... it's an excellent travel theme. It basically says "We're not at our destination yet, but we're making progress."
It's awesome.
