would this work to pump air pressure into a place holding liquid so that you could then release the end of a tube and the liquid would spray out until the air pressure runs out, then you could pump more and keep going that way... someone please respond who can help
you can put the pump up, so you can take advantage the gravity's force; making the water go faster. (I do not know if I explained myself clearly is not my first language) :)
if i was you i would use a biger piston but use the same size of intake / out put tubing so that you would have a much biger presser on the out put , but i am amazed that 6 yearold had that idea :)
This is a mom who will inspire an inventor and optimist. Moms who take their kids to explore and take apart and give them opportunities to invent are moms that can't be replaced by any media!
I used their idea, but used 3/4" PVC and check valves instead and it actually worked well! Unfortunately, though the check valves failed after moving about two gallons of the water. I think because I was trying to move muddy water which probably clogged the Lowe's PVC valves. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. I guess this only works well for clean water or at least water without too much debris in it.
What a wonderfully practical thing to be demonstrating to young children. We live on the Baja of Mexico in a solar community, so it's cool to get ideas for off the grid living.
6 year old can do it... but cant teach it

the kid should make a ram pump it works with no energy and can run forever if the supply of water doesn't run out

You can probably use some sort of screen to keep mud from clogging the check valves, maybe rubberband some cloth on the end of the intake.
I used this to clean out the last of the water from the toilet tanks when we had to move them - it was handy for that small task!

You should attach a pvc T to the end of the dowel as a handle.
