I love it, you make it look so effortless almost like you're floating too graciously and its fake even though its so NOT FAKE! 10/10 stars thanks for the vid bro
@MyTwangyGuitar I like your stuff and I like the rockabilly sound. But Your Gretch must be really expensive. All I own are solid body Les Paul type guitars. Can we get that kind of sound with a solid body or is it an absolute must to have a hollow body electric. I know that I cannot get your sound with any Les Paul I own. Also is a telecaster good? Also what amp are you using?
@cp1422 its a gretch, and by the looks of it a chet atkins signature. the pups are called Filtertrons, if i remember it right...thats a high dollar babe right there!
I concur, I have a buddy who plays the same damn style as you, he is about 58 or so and I can remember him playing for hours as a kid and he would let me hang out and watch him! That was probably the funnest way I could think of to spend my time.
im thinking of getting a 'G6120DSV Nashville' off the internet. i think they're discontinued. do you think its worth it or should i get a brian setzer model instead? the guitar has 2 DynaSonic single-coil pickups-Bigsby B6BCDE vibrato tailpiece with 1956 handle. i know BS MODL haveTV Jones pick ups. but does it really make that much of a difference? can i still get a rockin' rockabilly sound off those pick ups?
Man that looks tricky as hell!Look what you have to do/Switch chordal patterns and fills at a lightning pace without making a mistake!Wow!How long did it take to master this tune?
It's great when someone (face unknown,) plays great rhythm guitar, exact to the note. Plus someone who thinks about the video quality and sound quality before he puts it out there. My favorite Twang is Little Sister...gonna play about 20 more times tonight. Thx..Good Luck in Vegas
Brilliant playing, and spied your Rev. Horton Heat Gretsch! Would love to hear you do a cover of Drinkin' and Smokin' cigarettes by the man himself. Keep it up mate.
I watched your Rock this town video. In your info you talked about your Dad buying a guitar when you were young. Well I have to tell you. I hope someday when I look down at my son I am as Proud as your Dad is when he looks down and see's you playing that good . I have played on and off since I was a Kid. Im not great but I keep working at it. You have Inspired me Keep up the Great Work.
Very nice playing man, very impressive! I've always wanted to learn this song, and have never really gotten around to it. You can bet I'm gonna find time now. Thanks for the inspiration!!
And PS, that is a beautiful sounding Gretsch! Beautiful guitars!
Love this guys vids for a primer when my band asks about a tune. This one has no mistakes he sure is good. One thing Setzer does a bit differently is the unison bass line after each chorus check out the oringinal
