Damn, I rmr having this cd! Crazytown was good even tho a lot of ppl didn't like them.. I use to <3 the cd and listened to it all the time..Idk what happened to the cd lol
This song has such a great sound but a lot of the lyrics, as with many CT songs, are stereotypical one-liners put together in a semi-clever way. My favorite lyrics in this is, "the past is just a map to capture this" but I only like it becuz of the pentameter. Is it a quote from something else? If so, I like it less...
Crazy town was a great poetic group when they put their minds to it. Too bad they took an original Hillel Slovak guitar riff and ruined the shit out of it, branding a bad name upon themselves. I still respect this song though. Perfectly done my friends
"I remember my uncle buying this cd for me when I was 10. Seriously. I had to hide it from my parents though because it was "parental advisory". I find it funny how I still listen to the same music that I did when I was a kid, lol.
every time i hear this song it brings me back to when i was 15 doing shrooms and other drugs and having nothing to worry about but waiting to get my next high, DAM!
@TheMedeus thats exactly what i was doing when i first played the whole cd and got this song... from then on i kept it on this song... by far there best... not to mention was thinking strangely of a girl at the tiem so when i see her i think of that time and this song
@DrrumsMan well you have to admit... these times we are living in are very, very interesting! we have weapons that can destroy the planet, we have the emergence of the internet, sharing of all knowledge, the hidden wisdom of secret societies has been revealed... We're at such a critical and important crossroads, that everyone living today has the power to make world-wide changes that could last for hundreds of years to come. what more can you ask for? =)
I remember that without listening to this or any other songs on the CD I threw this into a mix back in the day and...like everyone else it's really just stuck with me. I'll hit that crappy emotion/feeling and clips and phrases of this song instantly start playing in my head. It's not even that great, just has some really deep influential moments.
Every now and then when I face some downs in my life, that song comes to my mind. There is sth very special bout Black Cloud. You all know what it is probly cause we meet on this page;]
@MrCrimsondom Me too. It's been what, 10 years since this came out and i still think of it in tough times. In this day and age of shitty pop music, that's pretty rare.
this song reminds me of a girl i grew up with...she became my best friend and i fell in love with her... but thats the downside...i was her best friend and she didnt see me that way. i still talk to her...hoping that she will one day feel the same...its been six years. she is my personal black cloud...and my joi do vie
@residue102 'joie de vie' is short for 'joie de vivre' i had a misspelling there lol. anyway, its french and translates to english meaning 'joy of life' or ' joy of living'
@1Stretta1beats1 that girl...she has a new boyfriend now...even though her entire family is telling her to give me a shot...i dont care. im not giving up. i can make her happy, she just has to give me ONE shot. just ONE. thats all i need.
I understand the gist of it and the change of tone but not 100% what it's about..feel stupid asking but it seems a lot to follow, anyone care to clear this up for me?
as sad as it is i just discovered this song, cause way back when i was just 12 years old, and the only songs i was aware of were the ones they played on the radio, and the only songs that ever got any radio play from these guys was butterfly, but this is a great song though
My god I love this song. Like many others on here have said, this song takes me back. I'm a freshman in high school all over again I have the world at my feet and no worries in my head. Bliss.
i feel like im in 4th grade again. my mom bought this for me for christmas and i only wanted the cd for butterfly, but then i loved the whole album once i heard the rest of the songs
I, too, usually refrain from correcting spelling and grammatical errors but, in this case, I could not resist. When you choose to pick people up on their spelling or grammar, please make sure your response is also free from error. Should something bug you, it bugs you. To say it "bug's you to no end" utilizes an incorrect apostrophe and unfortunately makes you look like a bit of a bellend.
@Hortaltera I feel ya this was my CD when I hated the world and wanted to watch everything I saw burn. So far away now. I'm feeling really reflective and complacent all of a sudden...
I used to get smoked out an just put this on repeat back when i was 14...listenin to it sittin back..dreamin..wishin...wonderin...yeah mayne heavy shit!
this song is really amazing! im listening to it since it was released. i`ve had some space between listening to it, but it comes back again and again.
i made the mistake of bannerizing and anthemizing my life, sold to the likes- and relates-, puts me in a sick-cycle.. looking back, i didnt know music would do this to me. i guess some people are weaker than others. great song "I would change the past
If you're lucky, you get past it, and really start to appreciate what little you got. It takes time, and patience, and no one can force you to change, not even yourself. Like, to me, this is a form of catharsis, reminding me of the darkness I remember being in the first few times I heard this song, which was years ago now. Now, it feels a little like "the pressure's fading away now", and same might happen for you.

hysteresis1010 2 years ago
I usually don't comment on people's spelling.... but your mistake is the most common and bug's me to no end.
The correct way to say it is: "I can't BEAR the thought..." (NOT bare)
To "bear" is to carry. To bare is to make naked.
Please remember everyone, words show your intellect (or your lack thereof) to the world, so use them wisely.
